Vietnam-Czech Republic Strategic Partnership

The Czech Republic is among the first 10 countries in the world to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam; and is the first country in Central Eastern Europe to establish a Strategic Partnership framework with Vietnam.

At the invitation of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man , Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil paid an official visit to Vietnam from November 18 to 22, 2025.

Vietnam and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations on February 2, 1950. The Czech Republic is among the first 10 countries in the world to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam; the first country in the Central and Eastern Europe region to establish a Strategic Partnership framework with Vietnam; and considers Vietnam a priority in the Asia -Pacific region./.
