Gratitude to teachers dedicated to the cause of training and fostering Party cadres

On November 18, in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country towards Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and the 14th National Party Congress, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held the ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025).

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Academy, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, emphasized that every time Vietnam Teachers' Day falls on November 20, we remember President Ho Chi Minh - the great Teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, who laid the foundation for the Party's career of training and fostering cadres.

Imbued with his teaching: "Training cadres is the fundamental work of the Party," over the past 76 years, the Academy has always been steadfast in its mission of training and fostering a team of leaders and managers at all levels; researching political theory, providing policy advice, and directly contributing to the planning and development of the Party and State's guidelines and policies.

The Academy has successfully organized training courses to update knowledge and skills for planning cadres of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party, advanced political theory classes, and classes for leaders and managers at the department, agency, commune and ward levels.

The entire Academy system has uniformly and effectively implemented Regulation No. 145-QD/TW of the Politburo on the training and updating of knowledge and skills for leaders and managers at all levels; Regulation No. 350-QD/TW of the Secretariat on subjects, standards and decentralization of political theory training; Decree No. 171/2025/ND-CP of the Government on training and fostering civil servants.

Along with the task of training and fostering cadres, the scientific research work of the Academy continues to achieve important achievements. The Academy has completed the national science and technology programs KX.02/21-25 and KX.04/21-25 for the period 2021-2025; chaired many national and ministerial-level topics and programs on Party building and the political system, developing a socialist-oriented market economy, and Ho Chi Minh's thought in the new era.

The results of the Academy's scientific programs, topics, and projects have been compiled by the Academy into reports and recommendations for submission to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Government, directly serving the planning of guidelines, policies, and strategies of the Party and State, especially the Draft documents for submission to the 14th National Party Congress.

A highlight of 2025 is the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. After 5 years of implementing the Political Contest Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, the number of participating works this year was 541,766, the highest ever.

With 137 authors and groups winning national and international awards, the impact has been widespread. The works have demonstrated steadfast political will, sharp arguments, clarified the scientific and revolutionary values of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in the new era, and effectively fought against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

According to Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, November 20 is not only an occasion to honor the teaching profession but also to show gratitude to teachers, educational administrators, civil servants and public employees working at the Academy who have devoted their intelligence and enthusiasm to the cause of training and fostering Party cadres.

Party School teachers always have a special responsibility to impart political theory knowledge, foster ideals, foster political mettle and train revolutionary ethics for the contingent of cadres, those who directly lead and carry out the work of building and defending the Fatherland.

Entering a new stage of development, Party school teachers have an increasingly important position and role. They are both scientists, pedagogues, and pioneers on the ideological and theoretical front; each lecture, each lesson plan, and curriculum is a work to protect and develop the Party's ideological foundation, contributing to the mettle, stature, and prestige of the Academy named after President Ho Chi Minh./.
