Happiness is not just a prize

- Along with the achievements of my colleagues, I also won several Central-level journalism awards. For three consecutive years, my colleagues and I received the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.

Thanks to the guidance, direction, support, and inspiration of the Editorial Board, from the Encouragement Prize in 2019, my colleagues and I rose to win the B prize of the Golden Hammer and Sickle in 2021 with the Megastory series "Close to the People to Connect Ten Thousand People". Previously, in 2020, my colleagues and I won the C prize of the Golden Hammer and Sickle with the Megastory series "Innovation in evaluating cadres from the perspective of "ordering" and assigning tasks to leaders".

Having won the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award three times, we have realized that happiness in journalism is not just about the award or being called out at the Award Ceremony, but happiness is about inspiring, encouraging, and sharing the hardships of the Editorial Board and colleagues.

The decisive factor for the success of the series of articles submitted to the Central Journalism Awards is to choose the right topic, the right current issues of the country, of public opinion and to choose the genre to express the content of the work. This is also the most difficult step, but in that most difficult step, we always received enthusiastic guidance from the Editorial Board. Because the entire Editorial Board of Tuyen Quang Newspaper at that time were all sharp writers in writing political essays and writing about Party building work.

Every time we deploy a series of articles for the Central competition, we have to build an outline, go to work at the base, collect documents, sometimes taking several months. On long trips to the highlands, remote areas, we always receive messages, calls asking about and encouraging from the Editorial Board and colleagues. Thanks to that, even when the trips are difficult, we still have the confidence to overcome them.

Every time I receive a Central Journalism Award, I realize that happiness is not only in the award but also in the sharing of the leaders in the agency and my colleagues. That has helped us love our job more and move forward steadily.
