On February 28, Dich Vong Secondary School organized a book launch event “The Journey of Passionate People”. This is the key activity, the highlight in a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the school’s founding (1955-2025).

The book, published by Thanh Nien Publishing House, is over 200 pages thick, like a train going back in time, taking readers back to the proud years of a school with a rich tradition in the Capital, while at the same time recognizing and honoring generations of teachers and students who have worked hard to contribute to the development ofthe Education sector.
Mr. Luu Van Thong, Principal of the school, shared that Dich Vong Secondary School is proud to be a school with the longest tradition in Cau Giay district, and is also a bright spot on the educational map of the capital.
“From the first day of establishment in 1955, having to rely on the location at Hau village communal house with countless difficulties and shortages, to the present spacious, modern, national standard school has been a long journey supported by many generations. It is a 70-year journey of upholding the tradition of “Good teaching, good learning”, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, hundreds of teachers and students studying at the school joined the army and made outstanding achievements, contributing to the cause of national reunification”, said teacher Luu Van Thong.

The book consists of 3 parts: “Pride in Tradition”, “Fulfilling Dreams”, “Despite Going Many Ways”, providing readers with valuable documents and images about the school’s seven-decade development journey, and portraits of dedicated people who have been and are contributing to the school’s development. Through this, readers can also imagine the education of the capital 70 years ago.
The book has contributions from generations of teachers and students of the school and experts from the Faculty of History, Hanoi National University of Education such as Dr. Le Hien Chuong, Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Dr. Tong Thi Quynh Huong; teachers currently working at the school such as Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam, Master Dang Thi Hong Hanh...
In the book's Introduction, historian Le Van Lan shared that the school has done a useful and interesting job on the occasion of its 70th anniversary, which is publishing a book.
“The book “Journey of Passionate People” has an important content: The 70-year history (modestly called “tradition”) of the school is clearly explained through biographies of the “characters” who lived and contributed to creating that history (tradition), especially with the narratives and memories, told (written) in a simple and truthful way by those “characters”. Therefore, it is easy to read and then easy to feel, easy to understand the historical values and traditions of this prestigious 70-year-old school”, historian Le Van Lan expressed.
