According to Chung's relatives, Chung had been suffering from developmental delay since childhood and could not speak clearly. Until 2006, one time Chung went out and got lost from his hometown and did not return. Although his family searched for him for a long time, they still could not find him. Ms. Sot (Chung's relative) said that the family searched a lot and thought Chung was dead. But recently, they saw on Facebook an account named Tuan Vy, who connected with love, recording a video of a man who got lost from his family and was living in Cho Ward 6, Tra Vinh City (Tra Vinh Province) named Chung. At that moment, the family looked up Chung's image and determined that the person in the video was Chung, so they were happy. At the same time, they contacted the owner of this Facebook account to find Chung.

After that, the family asked for support from the Da Nang Association in Ho Chi Minh City for help and three family members went to Ho Chi Minh City to continue their journey to find Chung. Mr. Tran Hung Phong, Chairman of the Da Nang Association in Ho Chi Minh City, shared that after receiving information from Chung's family, he immediately went to Tra Vinh with two other people to verify. "When we arrived at the Ward 6 market area, Tra Vinh City, and asked about Mr. Chung, everyone knew him. Here, they considered Chung as a family member. The COVID-19 epidemic even sponsored Chung to get vaccinated," Mr. Phong said. When meeting Mr. Chung, although he had difficulty communicating, when he saw the photo of his relatives, Mr. Chung had emotional gestures... Warm humanity in Tra Vinh Moved by the love of the people in the Ward 6 market area, Tra Vinh City, Mr. Chung's family stayed here for a day to go around the market; met each family member, each person here to bow their heads in gratitude for taking care of Mr. Chung for the past 18 years without calculating the loss.

Knowing Chung's family's difficult circumstances, the Da Nang Association in Ho Chi Minh City worked with the airline to verify, help buy plane tickets and pick up, and take care of food and accommodation so that the family can travel during their stay in the southern provinces when welcoming Chung back . In particular, the Association also opened a savings book of 30 million VND to support Chung when he returned to his hometown. On the afternoon of March 12, Chung returned home to the warm welcome of hundreds of people and local authorities. Sharing her joy, Ms. Lam Thi Thu Huyen (64 years old) said that the entire village was very happy. Every day, they waited for him to return. Hearing that Chung was coming back, everyone helped the family fix up the house to welcome Chung.

Mrs. Tran Thi Sot, with her eyes full of tears, said that her family was grateful to the strangers who raised and cared for Chung during his time in Tra Vinh. “We would like to bow our heads to thank all the people who took care of my grandson. Without you, my grandson would not have been able to return home. My family is very grateful for the kindness of everyone in Tra Vinh and the neighbors, the Da Nang Association in Ho Chi Minh City, and the local government who have come to take care of the family in the past few days,” Mrs. Sot confided. Coming to encourage and give gifts to Chung’s family, Mr. To Van Hung, Secretary of Hoa Vang District (Da Nang City) also asked the local government to quickly complete procedures such as citizen identification and support financial support to stabilize life. Currently, Hoa Khuong Commune is completing procedures and supporting the family to take care of Chung.
