This is the third time Captain Nguyen Thi Ben (Vietnam Women's Peacekeeping Unit) has participated in the parade. The first time she participated was 10 years ago, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2015); the most recent time was at the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). "Every time I participate in the parade, I have the same feeling of honor, pride but also nervousness" - she expressed.
The female captain said she could never forget the moment she walked in unison with her teammates. The streets were lined with flags and flowers, and people were waving and cheering.
"It is the happiness of living in a peaceful and free country; the close relationship between the army and the people; the strength of solidarity of the Vietnamese people; the boundless patriotism of each citizen. I was overwhelmed with emotion when I walked in the hearts of the people" - Captain Ben was moved.
Ms. Le Nguyen Uyen Thinh (HCMC Academy of Officials) also said that she was very proud to wear the youth uniform and march in the parade of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. According to her, besides the pride, participating in the parade is also a great responsibility.
"We are aware that this is a major event for the country, so we must practice and prepare as carefully and seriously as possible. This is an opportunity for everyone to express their love and pride for their homeland and country," Ms. Thinh confided.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mohamed Zakir Husain (Cham ethnic group), member of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, said that participating in the parade is a way to always remember the years of arduous struggle of the nation. Every time he practices, he is very emotional.
"The soldiers guided our group to perform in the most beautiful way, to best demonstrate the strength of the great national unity.
