Rewarding 161 excellent homeroom teachers and teachers in charge of team work

On the morning of May 29, the Departmentof Education and Training (DET) held a conference to summarize the 2025 Provincial Competition for Excellent Classroom Teachers in General Education Institutions and the Provincial Competition for Excellent Teachers in Charge of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Teams (YTP) in the 2024-2025 school year.

Attending were Mr. Ly Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training and 161 teachers who achieved results in the competitions.

The competitions aim to evaluate and recognize the value of homeroom teachers and Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Team leaders' activities in management, education and training in schools; to encourage and reward excellent homeroom teachers and teachers working as Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Team leaders in educational institutions in Tay Ninh province in 2025.

Mr. Ly Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of excellent homeroom teachers at provincial-level general education institutions in 2025 to teachers with achievements.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong - Deputy Head of the Department of Education Management, Department of Education and Training said that the provincial competition took place from April 14-25, 2025, including two rounds: document assessment and practical exam. The competition received close attention from the leaders of the Department, the Department of Education and Training, the Board of Directors of schools, professional groups and homeroom teachers, creating favorable conditions for the organization and participation in the competition. The competition was organized seriously, ensuring quality, achieving the set goals.

There were 793 teachers registered to compete at the school level (accounting for 14.5% of the total number of homeroom teachers in the province), 395 teachers participated at the district level and 119 teachers participated at the provincial level, demonstrating positive response from the teaching staff.

Mr. Ly Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training commended the collectives with achievements in the 2025 Provincial Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers in General Education Institutions.

At all three levels of the exam, the percentage of teachers recognized with the title of "Excellent Homeroom Teacher" was 98% or higher, of which the provincial level reached 100%, reflecting the careful preparation, sense of responsibility and solid professional capacity of the participating teachers.

The contest is implemented according to the process from school level, district level to provincial level, helping to screen, discover and honor capable teachers, while contributing to improving the quality of homeroom work in general education institutions.

Rewarding collectives with achievements in the contest of teachers who are excellent leaders of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Teams at the provincial level.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Hai - Deputy Head of the Department, in charge of the Department of Education Management, Department of Education and Training commented that the contest for teachers who are excellent leaders of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Teams at the provincial level, school year 2024-2025, took place from April 19 to May 27, the final result had 44 candidates achieving the title of excellent teachers who are excellent leaders of the provincial level and 3 collective awards.

On this occasion, the Department of Education and Training awarded 161 teachers who achieved results in the two competitions. At the same time, collective awards were given , including the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh city winning the first prize in the Provincial Competition for Excellent Classroom Teachers in General Education Institutions in 2025; the Department of Education and Training of Chau Thanh district won the first prize in the Provincial Competition for Teachers as Excellent Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team Leaders, school year 2024-2025.
