This is the third time this meaningful program has been implemented towards a new goal - planting 35,000 trees across the country within 3 years (2023-2025), contributing to increasing green areas in Vietnam. In particular, the program not only demonstrates the two businesses' long-term commitment to the environment but also raises consumer awareness.
Moving into 2025, the program will continue with a plan to plant 20,000 Melaleuca trees at the Spring Farm (Hau Giang province) - an important wetland located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On an area of 0.5 hectares of barren land, a Melaleuca forest will be formed, not only absorbing more than 100 tons of CO₂ per year but also opening a green roof for more than 20,000 wild birds of 50 different species, including rare species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Marwane Tahri, General Director of P&G Vietnam, shared: "In 30 years of accompanying Vietnamese consumers, P&G has always aimed to create positive and sustainable values for the communities where we operate. We are proud to mark this meaningful milestone by contributing to increasing green areas in Vietnam through the Forests for Good program. We sincerely thank the valuable companionship of Central Retail Vietnam, Gaia Nature Conservation, brand ambassadors, all employees and consumers across the country, who are joining us in creating a greener Vietnam every day."
Consumers can easily contribute to this meaningful program by shopping for P&G products at Central Retail Vietnam's supermarket system. Specifically, from May 22 to June 18, 2025, when purchasing personal and family care products including Ariel, Downy, Pantene, Gillette, Olay, Head & Shoulders... with a bill of VND 399,000 or more at GO! and Tops Market systems, customers will contribute to planting a tree for the program. In particular, participants will receive an electronic green tree certificate as a meaningful recognition for their positive choice for the environment.
