A series of typical folk rituals at Ba Pagoda

From May 30 to June 1 (ie the 4th, 5th, 6th of the 5th lunar month), the Linh Son Thanh Mau Festival is held at the Ba Pagoda system with a series of traditional rituals that create the unique features of the most important festival of the year for the people of the South.

On May 30, from 8am to 10pm, the Ba Pagoda system will hold main ceremonies such as the Bach Phat Ngo ceremony, the Ba worship ceremony, the Roi ball dance, the golden tray dance, Cai Luong..., especially the Ba Bathing Ceremony - the most important and sacred ceremony during the festival. This is a ceremony for people to pay their respects to Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva - considered the guardian deity of the entire land, and to ask for blessings from the towels, water, flowers... used in the Ba Bathing Ceremony.

From May 31 to June 1, rituals such as Music, Noon Offering to Buddha, Water Offering, Ten Offerings (offering 10 types of offerings: Flowers, lamps, incense, tea, fruit, food, vases, gold, jewels, etc.), and Cai Luong art programs will continue to be held at the Ba Pagoda system, creating the biggest festival season of the year at the "roof" of the South.

Go to the leaf market on top of Ba mountain

As a unique market in Tay Ninh , the leaf market is famous for its unique way of buying goods: using leaves instead of money. It is known that the leaf market was initiated by a doctor who used to live in Hoa Thanh town more than 10 years ago. Since then, every full moon of January, the local people organize a market, where anyone can participate in the market with stalls selling many local specialties.

Nowadays, Ba Den Mountain organizes leaf markets on some important days of the year to nurture and honor traditional indigenous cultural values, while creating opportunities for visitors to experience the beauty in the spiritual and cultural life of Tay Ninh people.

During this year’s Ba Den Festival , Sun World Ba Den Mountain will hold two leaf markets at the square on the top of the mountain, on Saturday (May 31) and Sunday (June 1), from 5pm to 7pm. Here, each visitor passing through the cable car ticket gate to the top of Ba Den Mountain will be given a Bodhi leaf to buy food and drinks.

Many traditional dishes will be sold at stalls recreating the old village market, such as banh it, banh cuon, banh trang, banh ú, banh xu xe, banh bot loc, banh bo, banh da lon, cassava steamed with coconut, sweet soup, sticky rice, etc. Many fun activities and folk games will also be organized to create a warm and vibrant village market.

Performing arts and giving gifts to children

On May 31 and June 1, a series of attractive art performances will be held on the top of Ba Den Mountain. In the morning from 9am to 11:30am, intangible cultural heritages in Tay Ninh will be performed by Tay Ninh artisans such as Chhay-dam drum dance, golden tray dance, pentatonic music, etc.

In the afternoon from 5-6pm on May 31 and June 1, the program to celebrate International Children's Day will be held bustlingly with many special entertainment programs such as folk games of bamboo jumping, lion and dragon dance, nursery rhyme performances, clay figurine making... In particular, children 1.4m or taller when passing through the ticket gate will be given a voucher to exchange for a typical check-in ice cream of Ba Mountain.

Attend the grand ceremony to offer candles to celebrate the Lady's birthday

On this year’s occasion, the grand ceremony of offering lanterns to honor Linh Son Thanh Mau will be held continuously on two evenings, Saturday (May 31) and Sunday (June 1). This is a sacred spiritual and cultural ritual that has become a unique mark of Ba Den Mountain, where thousands of lanterns will be lit for people to send their wishes for peace in the square at the foot of the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son.

Each visitor to Ba Den Mountain will be given a free lantern and will write their own wishes to offer to Linh Son Thanh Mau. After the ceremony, the lanterns will be burned with the hope that the visitor’s wishes will come true.

To facilitate people and tourists to go to Ba Den Mountain on this important holiday, Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area applies a special ticket price program from May 28, 2025 to June 1, 2025. Accordingly, two-way cable car tickets to Hang Pagoda are only 80,000 VND/person; Combo cable car tickets to Ba Pagoda and the mountain top are only 400,000 VND/adult and 250,000 VND/child; Combo cable car tickets to Ba Pagoda and the mountain top including Van Son buffet are only 550,000 VND/adult; 350,000 VND/child.

As a famous spiritual destination in the South, Ba Den Mountain is associated with the legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau - the goddess of the mountain and also a spiritual support for the people here. Along with the Ba Via festival in the beginning of the 5th lunar month, this place also organizes a series of large-scale spiritual and cultural festivals throughout the year such as Ba Mountain Spring Festival, Buddha's Birthday, Vu Lan Festival, Quan The Am Festival..., attracting millions of tourists to visit and worship every year.
