Hanoi People's Council holds early year-end session, considers many policies for 2026

On the morning of November 26, the Hanoi People's Council, term XVI, 2021-2026, held its 28th session to carry out important contents under its authority.

Hanoi People's Council opens 28th session

Speaking at the opening of the session, Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, stated that according to the resolution of the Hanoi People's Council on organizing sessions in 2025, the regular year-end session of the Hanoi People's Council will be held in early December. However, with the spirit of urgency, proactiveness, closely following the direction of the Central Government, the city, especially the direction of the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee at the 27th session of the Hanoi People's Council recently, "It is necessary to count down each day to remove difficulties and obstacles for the grassroots... to take back each day and each month to carry out the assigned tasks", the Standing Committee of the Hanoi People's Council decided to adjust the session about 1 week earlier than planned to promptly review and decide on the contents as a basis for the development of the capital in 2026 and the 5-year socio -economic development plan for the period 2026-2030, ready to prepare for the election of the term. new.

According to the 28th session agenda, the Hanoi People's Council will consider important groups of contents, including: reviewing and evaluating the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national security and defense, budget revenue and expenditure, public investment in 2025 and key tasks in 2026; reviewing and approving 21 reports and 49 resolutions (such as: issues on support levels, social security payments; regulations on social assistance standards and beneficiaries of special social assistance policies; agricultural and rural development policies; approving the iHanoi digital capital citizen platform as a unified digital platform to serve people, businesses and support urban management); conducting a question-and-answer session on issues of interest to voters.

Delegates to the Hanoi People's Council observed a minute of silence to commemorate compatriots killed by natural disasters.

The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council also requested the delegates of the Hanoi People's Council to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, democracy, and intelligence, focus on research, discuss thoroughly, and contribute many dedicated and quality opinions; carefully study reports and documents to analyze and evaluate objectively and comprehensively the achieved results; at the same time, frankly point out the existing limitations, shortcomings, causes and propose and offer synchronous, effective and feasible solutions to remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks, creating a breakthrough in socio-economic development; express the voice of voters and accompany the city's political system to determine to concretize the goals of the Resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress and the direction of the Politburo in accordance with the spirit that the Secretary of the City Party Committee has directed: "Hanoi overcomes all challenges, there is nothing that cannot be done, nothing that cannot be solved".

Hanoi People's Council delegates support people to overcome flood consequences

Before the opening session, delegates attending the 28th session of the Hanoi People's Council observed a minute of silence to commemorate compatriots who died due to natural disasters and organized a fundraising campaign to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome the consequences of floods and storms, contributing to the people's early stabilization of their lives, rebuilding production and returning to normal life.

With the spirit of "Mutual love", "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country" and responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, as of the afternoon of November 25, Hanoi has supported 22 provinces and cities with nearly 400 billion VND, of which Gia Lai province alone is 250 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods, build resettlement areas, and repair traffic infrastructure damaged by storms and floods. This morning, November 26, Hanoi continued to hand over 50 tons of relief goods to Gia Lai province.
