The scene of devastation after the fire at 3 factories in Hai Duong

On the morning of June 3, informing reporters of VTC News, the leader of Tu Ky district said that the authorities are inspecting the scene, focusing on overcoming the consequences of the fire that occurred last night at the factory area in Hung Dao commune.

The fire broke out at Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Company Limited (Tu Ky district, Hai Duong ) and then spread to the factories of two other businesses.

Initial information shows that the fire broke out at around 8:30 p.m. on June 2 at the factory of Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Company Limited (O Me village, Hung Dao commune). This company specializes in processing, spraying paint, and dyeing plastic, so the fire spread quickly.

Hot weather and strong winds caused the fire to spread to Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Co., Ltd., Vinamek Electromechanical Joint Stock Company and Thien Loi Embroidery Co., Ltd.

Some people around the scene said that before the fire broke out, they heard a loud explosion at Hua Hong Technology Development Co., Ltd. After that, workers who were working the night shift at Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Co., Ltd. shouted to each other to run out to Provincial Road 391 to avoid the accident.

Authorities and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police mobilized 7 fire trucks and more than 100 local officials and commune police forces to focus on extinguishing the fire.

Firefighting efforts were hampered by the presence of flammable materials in the workshops, coupled with the hot weather. By around 11pm the same day, the fire was basically under control.

“ The fire damaged 3 factories, with an area of ​​about 3,000 square meters. Some raw materials and machinery were promptly transported outside by the authorities. Because the location of these factories is on Provincial Road 391, it is also convenient for transportation. Many raw materials from the plastic factory and garment factory were not transported in time and burned down. The locality is reviewing and calculating the initial damage. The fire did not cause any human casualties because it was contained and controlled promptly ,” added the leader of Tu Ky district.

The cause of the fire is being verified and investigated by authorities.
