The effectiveness of the movement of national solidarity to build cultural life in Vinh Linh

In recent times, the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has been focused on by all levels, sectors and localities in Vinh Linh district, receiving strong support from all walks of life and has achieved many results of profound political and social significance. Thereby contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of people in the district.

Vice Chairman of Vinh Linh District People's Committee Nguyen Thien Tung said that the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has a positive impact on many aspects of social life, especially in the movement of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. In recent times, this movement has always received special attention from Party committees, authorities, sectors and organizations from the district to the grassroots, creating profound changes in awareness, ideology, ethics and lifestyle in the whole society and has become a regular emulation movement in the life of each cadre, party member and citizen in the district.

Specifically, in building a healthy cultural environment, agencies, units and localities have been directed to build a cultural environment with many different contents and forms such as: 100% of agencies and units have included the content of cultural behavior in performing public duties and serving the people in the internal rules and regulations of the agency and unit; 100% of schools have built a green, clean, beautiful, safe and friendly learning environment, with active students; 100% of villages, hamlets and quarters have specific regulations in the conventions and village covenants on the responsibilities of each family and citizen in building a cultural environment as well as in complying with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

In addition, the construction of a cultural environment is also concretized in association with patriotic emulation movements, emulation of excellent workers, creative workers; emulation movements to study and improve professional qualifications, practice thrift, fight corruption and waste; and prevent social evils.

The emulation movements "Good at public work, good at home work", the movement "All people protect national security"; the models "Workers' group for green environment - self-management of security and order", "Love flower road", the route "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized - safe", "Self-managed youth road", "Road for grandparents and grandchildren to take care of together"; gratitude, charity and humanitarian activities are directed by all levels and sectors in both breadth and depth, creating attraction for all agencies, units, cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people to participate.

Thanks to that, the movement to build cultural families is increasingly developing. If before 2010, the number of households achieving the title of cultural family in the district only accounted for 84%, by 2024, the number of households achieving the title of cultural family had increased to 96%. Organizations in the political system have really paid attention to building a cultural life and considered this a regular task of their organizations.

Up to now, over 30 clubs related to family work have been formed such as: sustainable family development club, happy family club of the women's association; young family club of the youth union; "Elderly people are shining examples" movement, "Exemplary grandparents, filial children and grandchildren" of the elderly association...

The movement to build cultural villages, hamlets and neighborhoods has attracted the attention and direction of all levels and sectors and the participation of many people from all walks of life. Thereby, it has promoted the spirit of mutual love and support, helping each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, raising awareness of community self-management, mobilizing the people's enormous resources in building infrastructure, cultural institutions, implementing civilized lifestyles, and repelling social evils.

Thanks to that, up to now, the whole district has had 148/149 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods recognized as cultural, reaching 99%; 100% of towns meeting urban civilization standards; 8/18 communes and towns achieving the title of typical communes and towns; 98% of agencies, units, and enterprises meeting cultural standards.

The district has linked the contents of the movement for the whole people to unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas with the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction through many diverse and creative activities, with many different models, suitable to the characteristics of each region and each residential area. Up to now, 15/15 communes in the district have met the new rural standards, reaching 100%; 4/15 communes have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the advanced new rural standards, reaching 33.3%.

The whole district has 70 household gardens recognized as meeting the standards of new rural model gardens; 8/15 villages and hamlets in especially difficult communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas have been recognized as meeting the standards, reaching 53.3%; 72/114 villages have been recognized as meeting the standards of new rural model villages, reaching 63.16%.

One of the important factors to promote the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in Vinh Linh district is the attention of all levels and sectors in perfecting cultural and sports institutions.

Through the implementation process, the system of cultural and sports institutions at the district, commune and town levels has been basically completed, meeting the needs of entertainment, cultural activities, physical training and sports for the people, contributing to raising awareness in preserving national cultural identity, promoting democracy and solidarity.

Up to now, the district has 5/18 communes and towns with standard cultural and sports centers; 149/149 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have cultural houses - sports areas, of which 72/114 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have standard cultural houses - sports areas, reaching 63%. Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to improving the operational efficiency of cultural and sports institutions by continuously organizing cultural and sports activities, propaganda, meetings and community activities associated with new rural construction.

Along with that, the staff working in management and organization of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level have received basic training and have promoted their capacity, enthusiasm and dedication to movement activities.

According to Vice Chairman of Vinh Linh District People's Committee Nguyen Thien Tung, with the achieved results, it can be affirmed that the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has created a clear change, contributing to strengthening the village and neighborhood relationship, building the great national unity bloc.

Through the movement, the good traditions of the nation such as: "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude", contributing to preserving and promoting cultural values ​​with national identity, improving the material and spiritual life of the people as well as maintaining political security, social order and safety. At the same time, creating a driving force to promote sustainable development of the local economy , building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
