HANU - On May 5, 2023, Professor Stefano Ubertini - President of Tuscia University (Italy) and the delegation visited Hanoi University. President Nguyen Van Trao, along with teachers and leaders representing the International Cooperation Department, the Center for Italian Language - Culture and Cooperation Development, and the Faculty of Italian Language participated in welcoming and working with the delegation.
Professor Stefano Ubertini said that this was the first time he visited Hanoi University and he felt very happy to meet and work with the University. Rector Stefano Ubertini introduced basic information about the University of Tuscia and expressed his desire to further expand cooperation and promote internationalization this school year. Rector Stefano Ubertini hopes that through his visit to Hanoi University, the two universities can discuss to further expand and develop cooperation in the fields of scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students, and increase opportunities for undergraduate and master's scholarships for students of Hanoi University.
Rector Nguyen Van Trao sent his greetings to the delegation of Tuscia University to visit and work at Hanoi University. Similar to Tuscia University, Hanoi University is currently training in many majors with a strong focus on foreign languages. The predecessor of the University is a foreign language school with a tradition of training many languages spanning Asia and European languages (English, French, Italian, etc.) and later expanded to training other majors in foreign languages such as economics , international studies, information technology, etc. In which, the Center for Italian Language - Culture and Cooperation Development is a unit under Hanoi University with the task of expanding and connecting international relations between Italy and Vietnam.
Also at the meeting, the leaders of the two schools discussed the prospects of implementing a transfer exchange program, research in the field of linguistics, promoting cultural exchange between Italy and Vietnam and vice versa, and developing a Sandwich doctoral program between the University of Tuscia and Hanoi University and partner universities in Vietnam.
After the meeting with the President of Hanoi University, the delegation of Tuscia University had a professional working session with representatives of the Center for Italian Language - Culture and Cooperation Development, the Faculty of Italian Language, the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism and representatives of Vietnamese partner universities including Thai Nguyen University, Duy Tan University, National Academy of Public Administration, University of Economics and Technology, Academy of Agriculture, and Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.
The content of the working session was to discuss opportunities for cooperation and scientific research. Representatives of Tuscia University divided into small groups to work directly and discuss in detail cooperation programs in the following fields: international cooperation, information technology, biotechnology, and agro-food.
The working trip of Rector Stefano Ubertini and the delegation of Tuscia University to Hanoi University promises to open up many new cooperation opportunities between the parties in scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students, and opportunities for master's and bachelor's scholarships for Vietnamese students in the coming time.
