Regarding the article "Preschool teacher cries when meeting district chairman ," on October 19th, in an exchange with a reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper, the leader of the Education and Training Department of Chau Duc District ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) stated that Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue, Principal of Anh Duong Preschool (Ngai Giao Town), has submitted a resignation letter.

According to the head of the Education and Training Department of Chau Duc District, Ms. Hue's resignation letter was not processed because it was submitted while the District Inspectorate was conducting a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten.

"According to regulations, only after the inspection results are available and Ms. Hue has rectified the shortcomings as recommended by the inspectors can her resignation request be processed," the leader of the Chau Duc District Education and Training Department added.

Previously, on October 18th, the Chau Duc District Inspectorate announced the conclusions of its inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten. The conclusions clearly pointed out shortcomings at the school and recommended that the Chairman of the District People's Committee take disciplinary action against Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue and other related individuals.

As Thanh Nien Newspaper reported in the article "Kindergarten teachers cry when meeting the district chairman," on the afternoon of September 17, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Duc District, met with teachers and staff of Anh Duong Kindergarten to hear their complaints about the 30,000 VND lunch meal which consisted only of white rice, two pieces of pork sausage, and vegetable soup.

During the meeting, the teachers and staff wept profusely, accusing Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue of not only "cutting" teachers' lunches but also reducing the food portions for preschool children; and forcing staff to sweep the schoolyard and do menial tasks...

Teachers and staff of Anh Duong Kindergarten have requested that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Duc District take action against the principal; otherwise, all teachers will request to be transferred to other schools.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Chau Duc District People's Committee, on behalf of the district, apologized to the teachers and staff of Anh Duong Kindergarten and accepted responsibility for the incident. Following this, the Chau Duc District People's Committee assigned the District Inspectorate to form a team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten.

Regarding this incident, on October 7th, at the 22nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, the Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, Pham Viet Thanh, directed the relevant authorities to quickly clarify and strictly handle all violations that occurred at Anh Duong Kindergarten.

On October 10th, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province requested the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Health, and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to implement the provincial People's Committee's directives, paying particular attention to comprehensively rectifying the implementation of boarding school programs in all education sectors, ensuring food safety and hygiene and the quality of boarding meals for students and teachers, especially in primary schools and kindergartens that provide boarding services. They were also instructed to identify violations, shortcomings, and deficiencies in order to take timely corrective measures and provide appropriate advice in accordance with regulations.
