HIEUTHUHAI became the owner of the first season of Anh trai “say hi” cup after the finale took place on the evening of September 14 in Ho Chi Minh City. This result was not too difficult to predict. Team leader Gerdnang shone in the more than 3-month journey of the program. He was also the name predicted by experts and audiences for the championship title.

The rapper received more than 1.6 million votes from audiences nationwide, twice as many as runner-up Rhyder and a big gap compared to his brothers in the top 5 such as Duc Phuc, Quang Hung MasterD, Isaac.

Reasons HIEUTHUHAI won

Winning Brother “say hi”, HIEUTHUHAI received a bonus of 100 million VND from the producer along with several other awards in the program such as Most Favorite Team Leader. The male rapper used all of the above bonus to contribute and support people in the northern provinces affected by recent storms and floods.

Sharing with Tri Thuc – Znews after the moment of becoming champion, HIEUTHUHAI said this result was beyond his expectations. Not only that, the final debut lineup with 4 other brothers including Rhyder, Duc Phuc, Quang Hung MasterD, Isaac also surprised HIEUTHUHAI.

“I entered the competition with a spirit of dedication and joy and never thought about winning the championship. From then until now, every time I compete, I have never thought about winning the first prize. I only know how to try to dedicate good songs and excellent performances to the audience. When receiving the championship, I would like to thank everyone and the fan community who voted. The Best 5 lineup was also a surprise because the brothers have not worked together much on the show. This time will be very special,” said the rapper.

After the final night, the final results caused a stir on social media. Many viewers believed that Rhyder deserved to be the champion more than HIEUTHUHAI because of his versatility and consistent performance. In the final round, Rhyder shone in his solo performance.

Talking about surpassing Rhyder to take the lead, HIEUTHUHAI said the most important reason came from the fact that he received love from a large audience. However, according to the rapper, in the hearts of every audience there is their own champion. He, Rhyder or the other brothers in the Best 5 all deserve to be the winner.

“The most precious thing for an artist or musician is to always have an audience who loves and supports you. If out there, just one person says you deserve to be the champion is enough. My biggest success in this program is receiving so much love from fans. Up until now, I have rarely interacted with my colleagues. Participating in Anh trai “say hi” gave me the opportunity to connect and interact with 29 other artists,” HIEUTHUHAI shared.

“The champion in my heart is Tran Thanh,” HIEUTHUHAI added.

'No response to manufacturer's preferential treatment'

When asked about HIEUTHUHAI being a “homegrown talent” and always being favored by the producers throughout the show, easily becoming the champion, the rapper said: “There are things that no matter how I try to explain, the truth is still the truth. Those who want to believe will believe. And those who don’t want to believe, no matter what I say, they won’t believe. So, I think there’s nothing to respond to. I hope the audience enjoys and is excited about this playground. The important thing is that we make good music products and performances to dedicate to everyone. After the show, the Vietnamese music market will have 30 guys who sing well, dance well, are handsome and always try to contribute their knowledge.”

HIEUTHUHAI also became the most favorite Team Leader in the show.

Besides HIEUTHUHAI, two members of Gerdnang, Negav and Hurrykng, were absent from the final debut lineup.

The champion of “Say Hi” Brother said that he respected the audience’s choice. However, the rapper was happy that his two brothers both shined and attracted a large audience during and after the show.

“It’s hard to say whether I feel sorry for my brothers or not. For those who follow the program closely and regularly, it will be easy to see that my two brothers both receive a lot of love from fans. I think that is the happiness of being a musician and an artist,” the rapper expressed.
