U23 Vietnam in easy group at 2026 Asian Qualifiers

In the most recent U23 Asian tournament, U23 Vietnam reached the quarter-finals. This achievement helped the red team to be placed in the number 1 seed group, along with the continent's top teams such as Uzbekistan, Japan, Iraq and South Korea.

According to the draw results that took place on the afternoon of May 29, U23 Vietnam entered Group C, facing opponents Yemen, Singapore and Bahrain. This is considered a group that is suitable for coach Kim Sang Sik's team.

The 2026 AFC U23 qualifiers bring together 44 national U23 teams, divided into 11 groups, competing in a round-robin format at a centralized location from September 1 to September 9, 2025.

The 11 group winners and four best runners-up qualify for the finals, to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2026. The hosts of the finals will get a direct entry.
