At 8:30 p.m., the parade rehearsal on Le Duan Street, in front of the Independence Palace, was about to take place, starting with a series of cannons from Bach Dang Wharf, nearly 2 km away.

On Le Duan Street, 118 Chinese military officers and soldiers were present since the evening, holding guns and standing at attention, waiting for the parade. They had just arrived in Ho Chi Minh City at noon on April 25 to participate in the parade at the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's national reunification.

Previously, the Lao and Cambodian armies sent many officers and soldiers. After training in Binh Duong , they joined forces with Vietnamese forces in District 1.

On April 20, 121 Lao army soldiers arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport and continued to move to a hotel in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong to stay and train.

Major Minan Porthichon, 11th Armored Infantry Regiment, Lao People's Army shared that the force was honored to be invited by Vietnam to participate in the parade.

More than 100 Cambodian soldiers marched past the podium.

Cambodian soldiers perform decisive arm swings, straight forward, demonstrating the typical discipline of the Cambodian army. They have been in Vietnam for 8 days, with some training sessions in Binh Duong province.

The female special police force with 128 soldiers marched in unison.

This is the third joint training session held in the center of Ho Chi Minh City after more than 2 months of training in many different locations. The training session involved 48 units including the army, police and many other forces of the city. The 50th anniversary of national reunification had about 13,000 participants, along with fighter jets and helicopters.

Before that, at around 6:50 p.m., a heavy rain fell on the parade practice area in District 1.

According to the forecast of the Southern and Central Highlands Hydrometeorological Station, from today until April 29 in Ho Chi Minh City and the South, rain will occur in the late afternoon, while the morning and noon will be hot and sunny, with temperatures of 34-36 degrees Celsius. During the holidays from April 30 to May 3, in the center of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring districts, there will be sunny days, with the possibility of rain in the late afternoon.
