This is a multidisciplinary scientific and technological product with the participation of many faculties, institutes and specialized centers of the Military Technical Academy such as: Technology Center, Faculty of Mechanics, Faculty of Weapons, Institute of System Integration, Institute of Dynamic Mechanics, Institute of Missiles and Control Engineering, headed by Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quoc Hoang, Commander of the Technology Center.
The PTH-130 self-propelled artillery was researched and designed on the basis of integrating the 130 mm - M46 gun onto the Kamaz 6560 (8x8) vehicle with modern features, flexible mobility, high automation, approaching the world's self-propelled artillery, suitable for the needs and fighting style of artillery.
The successful development of the PTH-130 self-propelled artillery demonstrates the creativity and research ability of scientists, affirming the determination of Vietnam's national defense in self-reliance, self-production and modernization of weapons and equipment. Thereby, creating a foundation for the introduction of defense products researched and manufactured by the Military Technical Academy into military equipment.
