On the afternoon of September 30, Coach Nguyen Anh Duc confirmed his resignation from the team due to poor performance. Becamex TP.HCM Club only won one match on the opening day, losing the rest.
Coach Anh Duc's only win with Becamex TP.HCM was 3-0 at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Stadium. It seemed like the newly renamed team would have a "good start, good end" but the opposite happened.
Becamex TP.HCM lost 5 matches in a row, including 4 defeats in V-League against Cong An Ha Noi, The Cong - Viettel , Cong An TP.HCM, and recently against Da Nang Club.
In the National Cup arena, Becamex TP.HCM was eliminated early in the first round when they lost to the "big guy" of the First Division, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, with a score of 1-3 on their opponent's field.
Coach Anh Duc said: "The team's failure is the coach's responsibility. I am not avoiding it and am trying to overcome the difficult period. However, maybe I should stop so that everything is better. It's a pity that everything is still unfinished. I cherish the past days."
Anh Duc led Becamex TP.HCM Club (then known as Becamex Binh Duong) from May 7, 2025, replacing Mr. Nguyen Cong Manh. The former Vietnamese player helped the team stay in the league early.
After coach Anh Duc resigned, Mr. Dang Tran Chinh will be the interim coach. Becamex TP.HCM Club is looking for a suitable replacement candidate for the upcoming journey.
