U.23 Vietnam received compliments

In the second match of CFA Team China - Panda Cup 2025 on the afternoon of November 15, U.23 Vietnam lost to U.23 Uzbekistan 0-1 with a goal coming very early and then many opportunities were created by the students of interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh but all were missed.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared: "Today, the U.23 Vietnam players played with determination and discipline. We met a very strong opponent, well-organized and with extensive international competition experience.

Despite conceding an early goal, the team kept their composure, tried to adjust and regain their rhythm. I was satisfied with the players' efforts and attitude, although there are still areas to improve in the final stages and the ability to maintain the pressing rhythm."

Will adjust the performance of the attack

On the afternoon of November 15, U.23 Vietnam started with 7/11 completely new starting positions and in the second half, they increased their firepower with Quoc Viet, Thanh Nhan, Van Khang, Ngoc My... Thanks to that, we played much better but still had to accept leaving the field with a final score of 0-1.

Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh expressed: "This result is very regrettable. The whole team created some good opportunities but lacked a bit of precision and decisiveness in the final situations.

However, this is an international friendly tournament, our goal is to build the squad, test the players and accumulate experience for the upcoming official tournaments. After the match, the players will have a meeting to review this match to become more mature."

According to the schedule, the next opponent of U.23 Vietnam on November 18 is U.23 Korea, a team that is considered to have a strong physical foundation, speed and modern playing style.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh said: “The U.23 Korean team is a high-quality team, moving a lot and with good speed. We will analyze today’s match, consider the physical condition of each player to make appropriate adjustments. The goal is to play more organized, maintain team distance and improve the quality of the final moves. At the same time, we will continue to create opportunities for players who need more playing time.”
