Vietnamese sports unite, overcome difficulties, conquer new heights, towards welcoming the 14th National Party Congress.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Aspiration - Conquering the peak", the national teams are accelerating and making efforts every day, aiming for practical achievements to welcome the Congress.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , in recent times, the Ministry has worked with the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department to proactively deploy a series of key training programs, focusing on national teams in more than 40 sports. The preparation plan for the 33rd SEA Games and continental tournaments was built early, proactively from the selection of athletes, inviting experts, upgrading equipment, to adjusting the nutritional regime and biomedical conditions for training.

Notably, in 2025, the training system will have the strong participation of national and local sports centers with more than 1,800 athletes summoned for long-term training. Nutrition is maintained at a high level to ensure that each athlete has the best physical condition, meeting the strict requirements of high-performance sports in the period of deep integration.

Key sports such as athletics, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, wrestling, martial arts, etc. are actively preparing to enter the international competition stage. Many young athletes have matured quickly through domestic tournaments and pre-SEA Games tournaments, and are expected to bring a new breeze to Vietnamese sports. In athletics - the "queen" sport, speed and relay events are showing strong breakthroughs. In shooting, shooters who have made their mark at the ASIAD and Olympics continue to maintain stable performance, fully equipped with techniques, weapons and training conditions.

In addition, some Olympic sports such as gymnastics, boxing, and taekwondo are being strengthened with international competition to aim for further goals, not only in the regional arena but also in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualifying round. The long-term, systematic investment is identified by the sports industry as a strategic task to raise the national position in the context of increasingly fierce competition in world sports.

In the spirit of competition towards the 14th National Party Congress, the teams have registered high targets, in which the target of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games is about 100 Gold Medals. This is not only a professional target but also a political requirement, demonstrating a strong spirit of advancement, affirming the will and mettle of Vietnamese athletes in the new period.

At recent working sessions, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized the need for the entire industry to closely follow the plan, optimize training conditions, and take care of athletes’ health and psychology. Coordination between management units, training centers and coaching staff is closely implemented, minimizing objective factors that may affect the preparation process.

Along with professional tasks, the teams are imbued with the spirit of emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Party Congress. Each victory, each effort on the field is an affirmation of pride, a beautiful image of the will, mettle and intelligence of Vietnam. In the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the important political event, Vietnamese sports are determined to unite, overcome difficulties, conquer new heights, and make worthy contributions to the common achievements of the country on the journey of development and integration.
