Commenting on the victory, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: “I feel a little happy with the way we reached the final. Before the tournament started, I told the players the goal was to reach the final match. Today, U23 Vietnam has reached the final. We will focus on the next match.”

The 4-1 victory of U23 Vietnam over Malaysia was a result that surprised many people. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: "We analyzed the opponent. In 1v1 or 2v2 confrontations, U23 Malaysia did not compete well, U23 Vietnam players always won. The U23 Malaysia defense was not strong enough to stop us. Today, my players showed good form. U23 Vietnam attacked strongly."

Although satisfied with the team's victory, coach Hoang Anh Tuan still had some reminders for his players. He said: "Dinh Duy is a player without much experience. I watched him atSHB Da Nang, I think Dinh Duy did not have enough playing time. I told him not to make mistakes. In simple situations, he made mistakes and got a yellow card. But no problem, young players make mistakes and will improve in the final match."

Regarding the opponent in the final, the strategist from Khanh Hoa said that he and the whole team will rest and start preparing from tomorrow (August 25). Coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: "First, I will sleep well tonight. Then tomorrow, we will analyze the opponent. I will watch the match between U23 Thailand and U23 Indonesia, then sleep well, and think about tomorrow. Those two teams are both strong. My idea is to control the ball and attack strongly. The players must be flexible and agile. In the past 3 matches, there were times when the players could not do it, but it's okay, we will gradually improve."
