However, the English team won thanks to a moment of brilliance from Rodri. In the 68th minute, the Spanish midfielder rushed forward and shot hard into the right post from a pass from Bernardo Silva, helping Man City win the Champions League for the first time.

“Another defeat, Inter Milan players were more tired than their opponents. We had to fight for the Serie A title until the last week, while PSG won Ligue 1 a few weeks ago.
Technically, we were the underdogs, there is no doubt about that because the result showed. This disappointment is very painful but my boys and I will always hold our heads high knowing that we faced a stronger team and only bowed to the champions,” said coach Inzaghi.
Inter Milan now need to put their pain behind them and focus on the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States next June. Coach Inzaghi said he did not care if he could stay at Inter Milan after the defeat in the Champions League final. But the 49-year-old coach stressed that he is happy and has everything needed to do a good job here.
