Support 500 disadvantaged people to go to "Zero-dong Market"

(BDO) On May 11, at the Nirvana Buddha Statue Cultural Center - Hoi Khanh Pagoda (Thu Dau Mot City), the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the Social Charity Committee, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in the province to organize a "Zero-VND Market" to support necessities for people in need. Attending were Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Standing Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Member, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee.

Accordingly, the market supported dozens of items and essential necessities for 500 cases of blind people, victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, workers and people in difficult circumstances in Thu Dau Mot City. The total value of the market was 350 million VND (each portion worth 700,000 VND) contributed by monasteries in the province and benefactors to share some of the difficulties with those who received support.
