Thousands of gifts to workers

Representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and gave gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at Pung Kook Saigon II Company Limited during Workers' Month.

As part of a series of activities in response to Workers' Month 2025, a delegation of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) visited many businesses to visit, give gifts, and encourage workers in difficult circumstances.

Recently, when visiting and presenting gifts to workers with serious illnesses, work-related accidents and other difficult cases at Triumph International Co., Ltd., Pung kook Saigon II Co., Ltd., where thousands of workers are working, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, acknowledged the contributions and efforts to overcome difficulties of workers as well as the leaders of enterprises that have created favorable conditions, helping grassroots trade unions to have many activities to care for the increasingly better lives of union members and workers; especially implementing the signing of labor agreements that are beneficial to workers...

Each gift given to workers during Workers' Month has warmed the hearts of those in the most difficult times. Ms. Nguyen Thi Dao, from Dong Nai , who has been with Pung Kook Saigon II Co., Ltd. for more than 5 years, said that her husband is a freelancer so his work is irregular. Therefore, the family has to save money to pay for rent and raise two children. "Every year, our family receives many gifts from the provincial trade union and the local trade union during Workers' Month, holidays and Tet. That concern has given the family more motivation to continue to rise up and overcome difficulties," Ms. Dao said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of Tan Uyen City Labor Federation, Workers' Month is an opportunity for trade unions at all levels in the province and enterprises to turn to workers. Implementing the direction of the Provincial Labor Federation, since April 2024, the unit has reviewed the number of union members and workers in difficulty, illness, and work-related accidents to visit and give gifts. Up to now, the unit has organized visits and given more than 1,000 gifts, worth 1 million VND/gift. At the same time, the Trade Unions of enterprises have their own support levels for workers at the enterprise, as well as organizing playgrounds and taking workers on trips .

To better care for workers' lives, each level of trade union in the province has practical activities associated with Workers' Month 2025. Mr. Tran Ngoc Van, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union, said that in addition to organizing the launch of Workers' Month, responding to the key activities proposed by the higher-level trade union, Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union mobilized more than 350 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) from socialized sources to share with workers in difficult circumstances, occupational accidents, and illnesses. In particular, the unit has cooperated with dozens of businesses to sell products at original prices, at discounts, to support workers.

Many meaningful activities

To make Workers’ Month truly a festival for union members and workers, each local trade union actively responded to the activities proposed by unions at all levels. Many enterprises also launched a movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle to all workers.

Ms. Le Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of the Italian Asia Door Industry Company Limited (Tan Uyen City), said: “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style is concretized by the Trade Union in every action. Among them, there is taking care of the lives of union members and workers, promoting the spirit of solidarity. For workers who are unfortunately in difficulty, the Trade Union, leaders and union members join hands to support and overcome the current difficulties.”

Mr. Dao Dinh Tho, who has been working for many years at the Italian Asian Door Industry Company Limited and is currently managing the labor safety work at the enterprise, said: “During my work, I am always aware, learning and following Uncle Ho in the smallest things, thereby constantly researching and creating to bring high efficiency. Recently, I have researched the initiative of installing spark sensors and automatic water spraying. During operation, if a spark is emitted, the sensor will immediately close the dust extraction system and spray water to extinguish the fire, keeping the factory safe...”.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" and learning from Uncle Ho's example has spread strongly to every enterprise, every workshop, and every production team. The whole province has more than 3,200 initiatives and technical improvements recognized and widely applied in production at enterprises, generating a profit of more than 400 billion VND. In order to make the initiative and creativity movement stronger and stronger, in Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor strongly launched the movement "Popular digital education" among all union members and workers.

In general, the key activities in the 2025 Workers' Month in the area were organized thoughtfully and enthusiastically by trade unions at all levels in the province. In particular, giving gifts, visiting and encouraging individuals and families in difficult circumstances received special attention.

Mr. Dang Tan Dat, Head of the Policy and Law Department of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: "In order to take care of the lives of union members and workers in difficulty during Workers' Month 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province focused on giving gifts with a total amount of about 20 billion VND, mobilized from various sources.

From now until the end of May, trade unions at all levels will continue to organize many meaningful activities such as expressing gratitude to businesses that take good care of workers' lives; organizing zero-dong markets and selling discounted goods to help workers save money on shopping.
