On the morning of May 26, the Social Insurance of Region VII coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Online Contest to Learn about the Law on Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance in 2025. The launching ceremony was held online at inter-district Social Insurance bridges.
Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Vo Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Hoang Van Minh - Director of Social Insurance Region VII; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Social Insurance Region 7; Provincial Electronic Information Portal; Vinh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Hung Nguyen District Party Committee.
In 2024, at two consecutive sessions, the 15th National Assembly passed two important laws, namely the Social Insurance Law No. 41/2024/QH15 and the Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Health Insurance Law No. 51/2024/QH15.
The Law on Social Insurance 2024 was promulgated to institutionalize Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW on reforming social insurance policies, so that social insurance is truly a key pillar of the social security system, gradually and steadily expanding the coverage of social insurance, towards the goal of universal social insurance; developing a flexible, diverse, multi-layered, modern and internationally integrated social insurance system based on the principles of contribution - benefit, fairness, equality, sharing and sustainability; improving the capacity, effectiveness and efficiency of state management and developing a streamlined, professional, modern, reliable and transparent social insurance policy implementation system.
With many important new points, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Health Insurance will fundamentally resolve the urgent problems and difficulties after 15 years of implementing the Law on Health Insurance; ensure the consistency and synchronization of the legal system, ensure social security, rights and interests of health insurance participants, medical examination and treatment facilities; contribute to gradually reducing the rate of direct out-of-pocket expenditure of health insurance participants and strengthen the management and effective use of the health insurance fund.
Recognizing the importance of disseminating and popularizing the Law on Social Insurance, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; implementing the coordination regulations between the two sectors, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Social Insurance of Region VII agreed to issue a Plan to coordinate the organization of the Online Contest "Learning about the Law on Social Insurance, Health Insurance and Unemployment Insurance".
The contest is organized to strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and raise awareness of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people about policies and laws on Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance; new points of the Law on Social Insurance, Law on Amendments and Supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; promote digital transformation in the dissemination and education of law; meet the needs of learning about the laws on Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance among party members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the province.
The contest is held during the Month of Mobilizing the Implementation of Social Insurance and Universal Health Insurance (May 2025) and ends before the Law on Social Insurance and Law on Health Insurance 2024 come into effect.
The contest officially launched today (May 26, 2025) and will last for 4 weeks for Vietnamese citizens currently living and working in Nghe An province, especially students of universities, colleges and secondary schools in the province.
Each week, the Organizing Committee will finalize the results once. Each week there will be 11 prizes, including 1 First Prize worth 1.5 million VND, 2 Second Prizes worth 1.2 million VND, 3 Third Prizes worth 1 million VND, 5 Encouragement Prizes worth 500 thousand VND along with Certificates of Merit from the Head of the Organizing Committee.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will select 4 units with the most participants and the best competition quality over 4 weeks to receive a Certificate of Merit and a prize of 2,000,000 VND/prize from the Head of the Organizing Committee./.
