On September 25, the Business Support Portal, the Institute of Business Training and Consulting, Foreign Trade University ( Hanoi ) organized an online seminar "Import and export in the new era: trends, opportunities and breakthrough solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs)".

At the workshop, speakers updated international trade trends and the new integration context, and supported businesses in finding practical solutions to expand international markets sustainably. Accordingly, import-export businesses need to determine that import-export is not only selling products, but also selling trust, prestige and national image.

Therefore, to conquer the market, enterprises need to focus on diversifying the supply chain and researching market diversification. Especially in the context of the digital economy , cross-border e-commerce, modern logistics, import and export are not just normal business activities but also great opportunities for SMEs and startups. Enterprises need to have a long-term vision, a multi-faceted business mindset, and be sensitive to the market. It is necessary to pay attention to building a network of connections and a global mindset to bring value to customers, suppliers and the international market.

According to experts, in the context of a volatile global economy, international trade is witnessing dramatic changes: the trend of shifting supply chains, the emergence of new-generation trade agreements (FTA, CPTPP, RCEP) and increasingly stringent requirements on quality and sustainability standards. For Vietnamese enterprises, this is both an opportunity to expand the market and a challenge in improving competitiveness, risk management and building long-term development strategies.
