According to Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 123/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020 regulating invoices and documents, business households are required to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers connected to transfer electronic data to tax authorities from June 1, 2025 in the following cases: business households have annual revenue of 1 billion VND or more; use cash registers; have revenue and labor scale meeting the highest level of criteria of micro-enterprises...

Implementing Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP, in May, the Dong Gia Lai Inter-District Tax Team notified households and individuals doing business that are required to apply electronic invoices generated from cash registers from June 1, 2025.

Accordingly, no later than May 20, 2025, business households must contact the e-invoice software solution provider to promptly register, change, and convert to apply e-invoices generated from cash registers to ensure that the use of e-invoices when selling goods and providing services is carried out promptly and in accordance with regulations.

Ms. Huynh Thi Hanh - Owner of an interior decoration store (No. 115 Quang Trung, An Khe town) said: "I have been in business for more than 30 years. When I switched to using electronic invoices generated from cash registers, I was not able to adapt because I was not familiar with technology. However, the tax officers enthusiastically supported and guided me to convert."

To facilitate the implementation of electronic invoices generated from cash registers by households and individuals doing business from June 1, 2025, the Dong Gia Lai Inter-District Tax Team organized a conference to disseminate related contents; assigned and arranged officials, civil servants and service providers to each household and individual doing business to support and guide the conversion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Specialist of the Management Team for supporting individuals and business households (Dong Gia Lai Inter-District Tax Team) informed: "We go to each household to mobilize, guide and support the conversion to apply electronic invoices. Most business owners are old, with small traditional business models, so it is difficult to quickly adapt to using sales software connected to issue electronic invoices".

However, I am still confused about how to declare taxes and import and export goods in accordance with regulations. This is also a common issue that business households like me are most concerned about at present.”

As of May 15, 2025, in the eastern districts and towns of the province, there were 3,100 households and business individuals paying taxes with a total tax paid to the state budget of VND 19.6 billion, reaching 53% of the plan.
