I don't see anyone as "competitor"
- What skills and strategies do you prepare to confidently compete at Miss World?
When I came to Miss World, I did not focus on a specific competition but wanted to complete all the contents well. My team and I carefully prepared each skill to suit the characteristics of each competition.
With the Head to Head challenge , I focused on practicing my communication skills, problem solving skills and improving my English. I see language not only as a communication tool but also as a bridge to convey stories and thoughts to the judges and international friends.
From my experience as Miss World Vietnam 2023, I understand that endurance and physical strength are very important, so I still maintain regular gym training to keep my body healthy and my mind ready. This is not just a competition journey but a process to help myself become more mature in terms of physical strength, skills and thinking.

- What difficulties did you encounter while practicing the performance "Dance of the Great Forest"?
Dancing is not my forte, but when I started practicing, I wanted to do something new and at the same time introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends. There were times when I practiced 3 times a week, each time lasting 2-3 hours with choreographer Khoa Nguyen. The tumbling moves in the opening were quite difficult for someone who didn’t know how to dance like me.
I always think that if you bring a culture to the international stage, you have to do it properly, showing respect to the audience and to the culture you are introducing.
Huynh Tran Y Nhi performs somersaults in her performance at Miss World:
- Have you met the Miss World contestants and are you interested in their rankings on the prediction charts?
I got to know some of the contestants through social media, following them, texting them, sharing about their preparation. This was an opportunity to make friends from all over the world .
Regarding the predicted rankings, I respect each expert's point of view but I don't take it too seriously because the competition hasn't started yet. Everything will be clear when the competitions take place and each contestant has a chance to show their preparation. I choose to stay relaxed, focus on what I'm doing and prepare well.
- What do you think about the competitors at Miss World?
Miss World is a highly competitive contest, as shown by the quality of this year’s contestants. Each has their own strengths, from appearance, skills to outstanding community activities.
However, I do not consider anyone as a "rival". For me, this is a memorable journey and the contestants from all over are companions to learn and connect with rather than compare. I had the opportunity to meet the Scottish representative when you visited Vietnam and hope to have more good memories with other contestants in the upcoming journey.

- Many people commented that your evening gown and Top Model outfit were not impressive enough. How did you react?
For me, clothes are not only for dressing well but also to help me feel more confident and express my true self. Especially for the Top Model competition, the clothes need to fit my body, support my performance and subtly enhance my body beauty.
Therefore, my team and I spent a lot of time choosing each design in a direction that matches the spirit we wanted to convey. The two dresses for the final night were both inspired by the ocean - where I was born and raised - as a way to bring the breath of my homeland into the most important performance.

- How is Y Nhi's daily life? Do you have your own way to relieve stress?
My life is quite simple - going to work and living like any other young person. Whether busy or relaxed, I always try to keep a balance.
I appreciate the attention people give me. It’s a privilege, but it’s also a pressure. Instead of avoiding it, I’ve learned to be okay with it: not letting it overwhelm me, but not ignoring it either.
My way of relieving stress is very simple: cooking, flower arranging, baking or cleaning the house. These small things help me calm down and return to a familiar rhythm of life.
- What are your plans after Miss World?
Currently, I am postponing my studies for a semester to focus on Miss World. After the competition, I will return to the classroom to continue my unfinished studies, scheduled for next August.
Regarding my career, I dare not say anything in advance. Each stage of life brings new opportunities, and I want to live my life to the fullest with each role I have. No matter what the future brings, I still cherish what I have and what I have, hoping that in any version, people will still see my seriousness, sincerity and efforts to be better every day.

- What did your family tell you before going to Miss World?
The most frequent advice my family gives me is "Take care of your health". Everyone worries that I am too busy and forget to take care of myself. Those simple words always warm my heart, not just advice but love and concern.
During the recent send-off, my father made time to attend, which gave me a lot of encouragement. He didn't say much, but his presence at the right time always made me feel secure. Sometimes just a nod, a reassuring look is enough to make me feel stronger. For me, family is always a place to return to, to help me calm down and be myself.
