Two royal poinciana trees in the campus of Gia Lai College attract many young people and teachers to take photos. The two "legendary" royal poinciana trees in the mountain town were planted close together more than 10 years ago. The trees are about 15m high, with a canopy of 20m, extending beyond the school's fence. Every year, these two royal poinciana trees bloom densely, with only a few green leaves left on the trees. Every day, hundreds of people come to the school to take souvenir photos. The school's security guards also create conditions for everyone to take photos, but always remind people to maintain public hygiene, and prohibit picking flowers or breaking petals.
Nguyen Thi Minh Thu (19 years old, a resident of Pleiku City) confided: "The Royal Poinciana tree at Gia Lai College is associated with many memories of me and my friends in the mountain town since childhood. Every afternoon after school, I often come here with my friends to play and chat under the Royal Poinciana canopy. Now I have graduated from high school but I still often invite my friends to take pictures and remember my school days."

Pacific International School (Pleiku City), there are also many royal poinciana trees blooming, turning the schoolyard bright red. This is also an ideal place for students to relax and play after stressful hours of studying. Ms. Nguyen Hanh, a teacher at the school, said that during recess, teachers and students often chat, play under the trees and take souvenir photos. "Perhaps royal poinciana is the flower that contributes the most to strengthening friendships and teacher-student relationships in schools," Ms. Hanh said.
