The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to Vietnam Airlines Corporation; the following airlines: VietJet , Tre Viet, Pacific Airlines, and Vietnam Travel about increasing the number of night flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to/from Binh Dinh province.
Accordingly, in order to meet the air transport demand for the peak summer season of 2025 and a series of cultural, sports and tourism events held in Binh Dinh province from June to September 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests Vietnamese airlines to consider and coordinate with Phu Cat Airport to increase the frequency of night flights during the above time.
Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam received a document from the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province requesting to increase night flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to/from Phu Cat Airport (Binh Dinh).
Currently, Binh Dinh province is entering the peak tourist season (from June to September). The province organizes many exciting cultural, sports and tourism events and activities at national and international levels with many continuous activities taking place from June 2025 to the end of September 2025 such as: "Summer Tourism Event Series 2025" running VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2025; Miss and Mister World Fitness Supermodel contest; hosting the 34th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship in 2025; hosting the National 3x3 Youth Basketball Championship in 2025... and many other exciting sports and cultural events.
Therefore, to meet the travel needs of tourists in the coming time and create favorable conditions for tourism development, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province proposed that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam pay attention to and grant licenses to organize night flights of airlines from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Cat Airport and vice versa, from June 2025 to the end of 2025.
