Movement to the flagpole area will be temporarily restricted to ensure absolute safety as well as the quality and progress of the project.
Lung Cu Flagpole - a sacred symbol at the headland of the Fatherland, is located at an altitude of 1,470m above sea level, about 24km from the center of Dong Van town. The structure has a total height of 34.85m, standing out with a red flag with a yellow star 9m long, 6m wide, and an area of 54m2, symbolizing the 54 ethnic groups across Vietnam, living together in harmony and solidarity.

The column body is designed in an octagonal shape, impressive with 8 bronze drum faces and 8 sophisticated green stone reliefs, depicting historical periods as well as customs and life of the ethnic groups in Ha Giang .
On November 18, 2009, the project was ranked as a National Historical Relic and Scenic Spot by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Not only is it a sacred sovereignty landmark of the nation, Lung Cu Flagpole is also a destination not to be missed on the Ha Giang tourist map.
Every year, this place attracts hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors to admire, explore and immerse themselves in the sacred atmosphere of the "roof of the North Pole".
This restoration is a necessary step to preserve the cultural and historical value of the building, while ensuring the safety of visitors in the future.
