On September 8th, the Government Office issued Official Letter No. 8419/VPCP-KGVX conveying the directives of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh regarding the organization of the closing ceremony of the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh issued the following directive: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other relevant ministries and agencies, according to their functions, duties, and authority, should urgently implement the tasks assigned in Document No. 7870/VPCP-KGVX dated August 22, 2025, paying particular attention to close coordination and effective implementation of the following tasks:
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, will review and finalize the program, script, guest list, prepare documents, reports, draft the Prime Minister's speech, and other related tasks and work, and report to the Prime Minister before September 10, 2025.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and other relevant ministries and agencies shall preside over and coordinate in reviewing the list and inviting leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, leaders of central committees, ministries, branches, and organizations, provinces and centrally-administered cities, members of the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the Exhibition, embassies, intergovernmental organizations with representative offices in Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and relevant organizations and individuals to attend the Closing Ceremony of the Exhibition, before September 11, 2025.
Expeditiously finalize and approve the detailed program and script for the Exhibition Closing Ceremony in accordance with regulations.
The presiding body, in coordination with ministries, agencies, and localities, shall focus on decisively, urgently, and effectively implementing assigned tasks and duties in accordance with the "six clear principles: clear person, clear task, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results," proactively handling assigned tasks, difficulties, and obstacles within their authority and legal regulations, and promptly reporting to competent authorities on issues arising beyond their authority.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, and Vietnam News Agency to take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to organize the live broadcast of the Closing Ceremony of the Exhibition, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
The relevant ministries, agencies, localities, and units are requested to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly carry out the assigned tasks, ensuring quality, efficiency, and deadlines as prescribed.
From its opening day (August 28th), the National Achievements Exhibition at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi) until September 7th, 2025, attracted approximately 6.5 million visitors.
The highest number of visitors to the Exhibition was on September 1st with approximately 1.05 million people; September 2nd had about 900,000 people, and September 7th had about 1 million people. These are impressive figures, showing the special interest of the people in this important event.

To make the experience more meaningful, enjoyable, and safe for the large number of visitors, the Organizing Committee coordinated with relevant units to perform artistic programs and organize free film screenings at various locations in building A, all located within the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
In addition, the organizing committee has deployed personnel to constantly guide people to park their vehicles in designated areas and direct them to the most convenient locations for visiting exhibition areas, art performances, and food and beverage establishments.
The organizers also set up 12 information booths indoors and outdoors, and distributed free informational handbooks to visitors… to prevent people from getting confused or lost.
The exhibition showcasing the country's achievements at the National Exhibition Center will conclude on September 15, 2025.
