On the morning of May 27, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council - Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to reports from departments, branches, organizations, units and localities on the progress of implementing work related to the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics - the National Treasure of India at Chuong Pagoda, Hien Nam Ward, Hung Yen City from May 28 to 29, 2025.
As planned, the procession of Buddha's relics from Quang Ninh to Cho Gao intersection in Hung Yen city will take place from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. on May 28. Next is the procession of Buddha's relics from Cho Gao intersection, following Nguyen Van Linh street, passing Dien Bien street to Da slope, turning right onto Bai Say street to Chuong pagoda.
From 12 to 13 noon On May 28 , the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province will open its doors to visitors. Buddhists, people and tourists come to worship Buddha's relics at the lecture hall of Chuong Pagoda under the guidance of the Organizing Committee.
To ensure traffic safety and security for the procession of Buddha's relics, Hung Yen Provincial Police force arranged 56 checkpoints. from Ly Thuong Kiet roundabout, Yen My district to Chuong Pagoda, Hung Yen city; organize 5 parking lots in the area around the city; establish some roads restricted to pedestrians such as: Bai Say street, Nguyen Thien Thuat street, Dien Bien street, Nguyen Van Linh street, Chu Manh Trinh street, Nhan Duc street, Nguyen Luong Bang street... Job Set up checkpoints at the entrances and exits of Hung Yen city center deployed from 24:00 on May 27. Cadres , civil servants, public employees and workers working in the city center, when arriving at checkpoints, need to present their Civil Servant Card or Confirmation Paper from the agency, organization, unit or locality to facilitate movement in and out.
Basically, up to this point, the preparation work from facilities, festive decorations, service personnel... for the procession and enshrinement of the Buddha's relics both inside and outside the Chuong Pagoda has been basically completed. The Organizing Committee of the Buddha's relic procession mobilized 1,500 volunteers to support and prepare thousands of free meals and drinks to distribute to Buddhists and people from all over the country to worship. The work of arranging, cleaning the environment, and installing mobile toilets in the city center area has also been basically completed.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duy Hung praised the departments, branches, localities, units, especially the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hung Yen province for concentrating forces and urgently preparing all necessary conditions in a short time, ensuring that the procession, enshrinement and worship of the Buddha's relics took place solemnly, safely and in accordance with the rituals, meeting the wishes of a large number of Buddhists and people. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province to continue to review all preparations. Relevant departments, branches, units and Hung Yen city continue to coordinate and specify support plans for the organization of the event to take place safely, smoothly and create convenience for the people. The Organizing Committee of the Procession and the media agencies should strengthen propaganda, guidance, and advice for people and Buddhists who come to worship the Buddha's relics to follow the rules, dress politely and discreetly, and wear soft shoes to ensure health as well as maintain solemnity and respect for the event, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the land and people of Hung Yen, who are friendly and hospitable.
