2 admission methods
In 2025, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will use two admission methods.
Method 1: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, admission method code 100. The school does not use the exam scores reserved from previous years' high school graduation exams and national high school exams for admission.
Method 2: Direct admission, admission method code 301. This method includes 2 groups of candidates. Group I: applies according to Article 8 of the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Group II: applies to Lao and Cambodian students studying abroad with scholarships from Ho Chi Minh City under the form of friendly cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
5 subject combinations for admission
Candidates must meet the admission threshold set by the Admissions Council of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine; have a good conduct rating in grade 12 of high school; be healthy enough to study according to current regulations; have complete and accurate personal information and application documents according to regulations. After the admission results are available, the school will check the admission documents. If the candidate does not fully and accurately meet the information required for the application, the school has the right to reject the application.
This year, the school uses 5 subject combinations for admission: B00 (including math, chemistry, biology), B03 (math, biology, literature), B08 (math, English, biology), A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English). If there are many subject combinations for admission, the combinations will be considered together, without any regulations on the difference in scores between the combinations. The subjects correspond to the subject combination codes for admission.

The school notes that for majors using a combination of subjects for admission including English, the school only applies this to candidates with a high school graduation exam score in English in 2025. The school does not convert foreign language certificates used for exemption from high school graduation exams into foreign language scores for admission.
In case candidates have the same total admission score, the school will consider candidates in the following order: order of candidates' registration wishes; high school graduation exam score in math in 2025. The school does not apply bonus points in admission in 2025.
For the Vietnamese-German joint medical class, candidates must have an English proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT 75 or higher or equivalent.
Nursing includes the following majors: general nursing, anesthesia and resuscitation nursing, and out-of-hospital emergency nursing. The separation of training majors is done after students complete the first year of the program.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine announced the expected tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year, ranging from 41.8 to 55.2 million VND/year depending on the major.

In the 2025 university admission announcement, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine also stated the expected roadmap to increase tuition fees by a maximum of 10% each year.
