Ba Chuc students experience life

As the whole country enthusiastically celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), with the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source", more than 100 members of Ba Chuc High School participated in a trip to the source at the O Ta Soc Historical Relic Site (Luong Phi Commune). In memory of and gratitude to national heroes, the students burned incense at the Relief and Stele honoring the 1st Division, the Liberation Army of South Vietnam, and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for their homeland Tri Ton. The students also heard information about the relic site, important historical milestones of the An Giang army and people; visited the Troi Gam Palace, the Provincial Party Committee Cave, the Women's Cave, the Military Medicine Cave, the Propaganda Cave, the Ong Dia Belly... In particular, they visited Ma Thien Lanh Hill, where 7 soldiers sacrificed their lives, and it was only later that their comrades found their remains and gathered them back to their hometown in the North.

This is not only an extracurricular activity, but also a practical history lesson, helping students learn about the years of "tasting honey, lying on thorns" of the An Giang army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country. At the same time, it helps students equip themselves with knowledge of local history; foster patriotism, national pride, and a sense of responsibility in each student. Nguyen Thi Bao Ngoc (student of class 12A3) shared: "The school's Youth Union has created conditions for us to visit and learn about the local national historical site. Hopefully, the school's Youth Union will continue to maintain activities like this, helping young people experience and gain national pride. We promise to strive to study, contribute, be proactive, volunteer, and be worthy of being young people of Uncle Ho's generation."

Ba Chuc High School Youth Union organized many activities to celebrate Uncle Ho's birthday.

Not only stopping at the source-seeking activities, the members and students of Ba Chuc High School also participated in the ceremony to visit the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs in Ba Chuc town; launched a campaign to build a civilized urban area organized by Tri Ton District Youth Union; planted 2,000 trees, cleaned the landscape at Tam Buu Pagoda, Phi Lai Pagoda; cleaned the Ba Chuc Tomb Historical Site. The school's Youth Union also encouraged members and students to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, from saving money, helping friends to progress, saving money in piggy banks to support the Fund for the Poor; living honestly, simply, not competing; "3 responsibilities" (responsibility to oneself, study and community).

In addition, the Youth Union of Ba Chuc High School in collaboration with An Giang Medical College organized the experience program "A day as a medical staff ", attracting more than 500 union members and young people to participate. Here, students directly practiced blood pressure measurement skills, basic first aid, health signs identification, and learned about the learning and working environment in the medical industry. Mr. Tran Van Duoc (Secretary of the Youth Union of Ba Chuc High School) said that the activity not only helped students have a realistic view of the medical profession, but also contributed to career orientation in the future. To help students have a creative space, "fun to learn", the Youth Union also coordinated and organized a competition to make hydraulic vehicles from recycled materials. The competition is not only an intellectual playground, but also a green message from Ba Chuc youth to the community.

These diverse, rich and meaningful activities are achievements to celebrate the 135th birthday of Uncle Ho. The Youth Union of Ba Chuc High School has been clearly demonstrating its role as a "locomotive" leading union members and young people to develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, morality, skills and dedication.
