Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - Le Xuan Loi has just signed Decision No. 618 promulgating the 2025 - 2026 school year schedule for preschool education , general education and continuing education in Bac Ninh province.
According to the plan, in the 2025-2026 school year, preschool, general education and continuing education students in Bac Ninh province will return to school on August 26, 2025. Grades 1, 9 and 12 will return to school on August 20, 2025. The new school year will start uniformly in the entire Bac Ninh province on September 5, 2025.
The new school year starts on Friday, September 5, 2025; the school year ends before May 31, 2026. Of which, semester I has 18 weeks of actual study, semester II has 17 weeks of actual study. The remaining time is for other activities. The milestone for considering the recognition of completion of the primary school program and considering the recognition of secondary school graduation is completed before June 30, 2026. Handover of grade 5 students to grade 6 in the 2026 - 2027 school year is completed before July 15, 2026; complete enrollment in grade 1 before July 31, 2026. Enrollment in grade 6 and grade 10 of high school in the 2026 - 2027 school year is completed before July 31, 2026.
Also according to the Plan, the time for the excellent student exam at the Bac Ninh provincial level will be completed before March 30, 2026, while the exam to select the excellent student team to participate in the National excellent student exam will be completed before September 15, 2025.
National Excellent Student Selection Exam, National Science and Technology Exam and other National Exams according to the guidance documents of the Ministry of Education and Training . Holidays and Tet holidays during the school year are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents.
The above plan also notes that the Director of the Department of Education and Training decides to let students stay home from school in case of extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics and arrange make-up classes at appropriate times, ensuring teachers' time off during the school year.
Ready for secondary school to study 2 sessions/day
At Phu Khe ward (Bac Ninh province), Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Phu Khe ward People's Committee said that preparations for the new school year 2025 - 2026 have been deployed synchronously, basically completed, ready for the new school year.
Regarding facilities, kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in Phu Khe ward have proactively renovated, upgraded and added subject classrooms, connecting areas and activity areas; modern equipment and teaching aids have been invested.

Regarding staff, Phu Khe Ward People's Committee has advised the People's Council on allocating staff quotas, arranging civil servants and labor contracts from the human resources transferred after the establishment of the ward. Thanks to that, up to now, the schools have basically met the staffing requirements.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, the new point in the school year is that secondary school students will study 2 sessions/day. Phu Khe Ward People's Committee and schools will discuss and agree on a scientific organization plan, especially in arranging supplementary classes and boarding activities to meet the needs of parents.
"Phu Khe Ward currently has 3 secondary schools (Huong Mac, Nguyen Van Cu and Chau Khe) with about more than 4,000 students. The general principle is to ensure convenience in transportation for students, while taking into account the increasing demand for boarding meals of parents..." - Mr. Dung shared.
According to Mr. Dung, in addition to preparing teaching and learning conditions, Phu Khe ward encourages schools to organize activities at the beginning of the year in a student-centered manner, avoiding formalities and creating an exciting atmosphere for the new school year. The long-term goal of Phu Khe ward is to maintain and improve the quality of schools that meet national standards. Currently, 12/12 schools in the area have met level 2 standards.
Along with that, the locality continues to link education with the traditions of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu's hometown, integrating cultural, artistic, sports and historical education activities, contributing to fostering pride and love for the homeland for students.
