A scene from the musical "Rain and Clouds"

Set in Japan, near the important university entrance exam, "Rain and Clouds" uses many details of folklore and modern culture to tell the story of Sakura - a 17-year-old girl who lost her mother. While going into the forest, Sakura accidentally saw a fox wedding and was forced to give her life to preserve the identity of this legendary creature. The musical recorded Sakura's journey in the last 2 months of her life, with the wish to be able to pass the Tokyo University entrance exam to repay her father and fulfill her filial duty.

Each character in the play is a unique color, but they have one thing in common: they all carry their own personal suffering. The play is a series of tormenting inner struggles between love, friendship and sacred family affection.

This journey not only helps the audience experience surprises but also makes them deeply aware of the beauty of fate in life, even though it is short and impermanent. It can be said that the musical has conveyed a strong message about the meaning of life, cherishing every moment as if we only have tomorrow to live.
