Students of Viet Yen town signed a commitment "Do not fly kites or flying objects near high voltage power grid works"

The event was attended by representatives of the Departmentof Education and Training of Viet Yen town (Bac Giang); representatives of leaders of secondary and primary schools in Viet Yen town and the People's Committee of Huong Mai commune, along with more than 850 students and teachers of Huong Mai Secondary School.

This event is part of the annual activities of Bac Giang Electricity Company to ensure the safety of high-voltage power grid corridors, which has practical significance when the 2024-2025 school year is about to end, students are preparing for summer vacation. Because this is the time when students often participate in outdoor activities such as: flying kites, fishing, bathing in ponds...

At the propaganda session, students were provided with basic knowledge about the power grid safety corridor; prohibited acts according to the law; possible consequences of violations; and proper handling when discovering kites entangled in power lines.

At the same time, children are required not to fly kites or flying objects within 5 km of high-voltage power grids; and not to arbitrarily remove kites caught in power lines.

Viet Yen Electricity staff distributed leaflets about protecting the safety of power grid corridors to students of Huong Mai Secondary School.

In addition, children also received propaganda materials on electrical safety, electricity saving and watched illustrative videos .

Immediately after the propaganda session, student representatives of Huong Mai Secondary School took turns signing a commitment not to fly kites or flying objects near high-voltage power grid projects, witnessed by teachers, representatives of the Electricity industry and local authorities.
