Bac Giang commends typical advanced models in the Education sector and honors excellent students and teachers who train excellent students.

Attending the conference were comrades: Mai Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Linh, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, outstanding teachers and students.

Over the past 5 years, with a vibrant and widespread atmosphere, emulation movements have been widely responded to by the entire industry in many diverse forms, suitable to reality. With the determination that "every hour in class is a step forward in teaching", "every day at school has an innovation in work", the team of teachers and students in the entire industry compete to "teach well", "study well" and "manage well"; compete in self-study and scientific research, strive to explore and create, cultivate professional management skills to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching and educational activities.

Up to now, the network of schools and classrooms has developed reasonably, the whole province currently has 759 educational institutions, meeting the learning needs of the people's children. The rate of solidifying schools and classrooms reached 97.6%, higher than the national average; the rate of national standard schools reached 95.5%, among the top in the country. From the emulation movements, many typical advanced collectives and exemplary teachers have emerged and are actively contributing to the cause of educating people.

Comrade Mai Son awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to students who won prizes at the national excellent student competition for the 2024-2025 school year.

Over the past 5 years, the Bac Giang Education sector has had 368 students winning prizes in the national excellent student competition; 5 students winning medals in the regional Olympic competition and 4 students winning medals in the international Olympic competition. In the 2023-2024 school year, the Bac Giang Education sector made a miracle when for the first time in one school year, 3 students participated in the international Olympic competition and all won Gold Medals.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the entire sector will continue to carry out fundamental and comprehensive reforms in education and training with the determination to improve the quality of education and attach importance to the training of excellent students. In the recent national excellent student competition, Bac Giang had 99/120 contestants winning prizes, an increase of 13 prizes compared to the previous school year.

Contributing to these successes are dedicated and enthusiastic teachers such as: Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Van Doa, teacher Vuong Truong Son, teacher Ong The Hung, teacher Dao Hai Yen (Bac Giang High School for the Gifted), teacher Nguyen Van Chuyen (Yen The High School), teacher Giap Van Khuong (Luc Nam High School), teacher Dong Duc Thien (Tan Yen High School No. 1), teacher An Thi Hong (Hiep Hoa High School No. 1).

Speaking here, Comrade Mai Son highly appreciated the results of the Bac Giang Education sector in the recent period and congratulated the students for their high achievements in the national and provincial competitions for excellent students in culture, science and technology, and physical education in the 2024-2025 school year. He affirmed that this is a source of pride not only for teachers and students but also an honor for their families, schools, the Education sector and Bac Giang province.

To promote the achieved results, continue to develop the education career to new heights, meet the requirements of socio-economic development and international integration, he suggested that in the coming time, the education sector continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, resolutions and plans of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training. Continue to carry out well the "Patriotic Emulation" movement, focusing on the "Teach well - Learn well" movement, constantly innovate teaching methods, testing and assessment towards developing learners' qualities and abilities.

In the coming time, the education sector will focus on improving the quality of comprehensive education, especially focusing on moral education, lifestyle, life skills, legal education, and revolutionary ideals for students. Pay attention to building and developing a team of teachers and educational managers with sufficient quantity, ensuring quality, and synchronous structure, meeting the requirements of innovation. Continue to propose mechanisms and policies to attract, reward, and honor dedicated, talented teachers with many contributions. Mobilize resources to invest in facilities and teaching equipment in the direction of standardization, modernization, and synchronization. Effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Deploy the "Digital Education for All" movement; promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in management, teaching and learning, and build smart schools.

At the conference, Comrade Mai Son awarded the Government's Emulation Flag for Excellent Units in 2024 to the Department of Education and Training. On this occasion, 50 collectives, 153 teachers and 178 students with excellent achievements were awarded. The Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded excellent students with a total amount of 425.5 million VND. The Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Bac Giang branch, awarded 30 million VND to excellent teachers and students.
