Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Council of Theory attended and spoke at the ceremony.
Also attending were comrades: Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Khamphau Ernthavanh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam; leaders of the Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Academy, and a large number of cadres, lecturers and students who are cadres of the Lao People's Democratic Republic working, studying and researching at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang wished the Lao people more and more prosperity and happiness, and that Laos would be forever beautiful, peaceful and prosperous! May the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos be forever green and everlasting!
The birth of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on December 2, 1975 was a great victory for the Lao ethnic people, and also a great victory of the special relationship, the loyal and steadfast fighting alliance between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
Sharing the pride that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved over the past 50 years, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics expressed his belief that Laos will continue to succeed on the path of building a beautiful, peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos, enhancing its role and position in the region and the world.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that the deep affection, friendship and lasting brotherly solidarity between the Party, Government and people of Vietnam and Laos is a priceless asset created by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, preserved, cultivated and promoted by revolutionary generations of the two countries, meeting the aspirations and interests of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
With sincere feelings and efforts in every action, the people of the two countries have stood side by side to bring the special Vietnam-Laos relationship through many ups and downs of history, bringing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries to new heights, becoming increasingly practical and effective.
According to comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, over the years, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has been honored to be assigned by the Politburo to support the training and fostering of leaders and managers at all levels of Laos. Training cooperation activities between the two sides have been continuously innovated, closely following the Agreement on cooperation in training Lao officials and international students within the framework of the Agreement signed between the two Parties and the two Governments.
Cooperation activities are carried out synchronously and effectively in all forms of training: bachelor, master, doctorate, title training, research, and thematic exchanges with senior officials of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party with tens of thousands of Lao students participating. Currently, there are nearly 500 Lao students studying and researching at the Academy.
In particular, the theoretical exchange work between the two Parties undertaken by the Central Theoretical Council has been very effective over 12 sessions, affirming that this continues to be an important cooperation mechanism between the two Parties in the task of summarizing practices, developing theories, sharing development experiences, contributing to serving the work of planning guidelines, strategies and development policies of each Party for the development of each country.
With the tradition of friendship between the two nations, the team of leaders, managers and Lao students studying and researching at the Academy quickly integrated into the training and living environment in Vietnam, were friendly with Vietnamese students and lecturers; actively participated in cultural, artistic, sports and union activities at the Academy.
The students have a good sense of learning and training, in particular, many students studying for master's and doctoral degrees have defended their graduation theses with excellent results. After graduating from the Academy, Lao cadres and students have been trusted and appointed to important positions in the political system of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
On behalf of the Lao Party, State and people, Comrade Khamphau Ernthavanh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, expressed deep gratitude to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for always wholeheartedly supporting Laos in the struggle for national liberation as well as in the current cause of building and developing Laos; vowing to continue working with Vietnamese comrades to contribute to preserving the special relationship between the two countries forever green and increasingly effective.
