Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics builds and perfects political theory training programs

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed Decision No. 540/QD-TTg dated May 22, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decision No. 979/QD-TTg dated June 21, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Innovation of training content and programs for leaders and managers of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics for the period 2021 - 2026". In particular, Decision No. 540/QD-TTg amends and supplements Point b, Clause 2, Section I, Article 1 of Decision No. 979/QD-TTg dated June 21, 2021 on the specific objectives of the Project.

Accordingly, the specific objective of the Project is to develop and perfect political theory training programs, including: Training and knowledge updating programs according to Regulation No. 164-QD/TW dated February 1, 2013 of the Politburo on training and knowledge updating regime for leaders and managers at all levels;

Political theory training programs according to Decree No. 101/2017/ND-CP dated September 1, 2017 of the Government on training and fostering cadres, civil servants and public employees and Decree No. 89/2021/ND-CP dated October 18, 2021 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 101/2017/ND-CP dated September 1, 2017;

Political theory training programs for some other subjects and cadres of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

The project also aims to build and perfect political theory training programs, including: Advanced political theory training programs for Party and political system members;

Intermediate political theory training programs for Party and political system subjects;

Elementary political theory program for subjects of the Party and political system;

Advanced political theory and intermediate political theory training programs for Lao People's Revolutionary Party officials.

At the same time, the Project will develop and complete a professional training program and update knowledge for leaders and managers, including: Professional training programs and update knowledge for leaders and managers at the provincial level and equivalent;

Professional training and knowledge updating programs for leaders and managers at district level and equivalent;

Professional training and knowledge updating programs for leaders and managers of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

In addition, the Project also builds new skills training programs for leaders and managers of the political system; revises, supplements and builds new training programs at university, master's and doctoral levels in the training field of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that within the scope of his authority, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics proactively implement specific training and development programs to ensure compliance with the objectives of the Project.
