On July 25, in Hanoi , the National Defense Academy held the closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year and awarded PhD degrees.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa, member of the Party Central Committee and Director of the National Defense Academy, emphasized that the 2024-2025 school year is of special importance, as it is the year of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. Together with academies and schools in the entire army, the National Defense Academy has comprehensively deployed training, scientific research and other tasks.
Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa said that up to now, the Academy has successfully completed the training plan for 27 concentrated classes, including 13 subjects with 792 students. The graduation results of the courses have been 100% satisfactory or higher.
During the school year, the Academy considered and proposed to recognize the title of Associate Professor for 5 comrades (including one comrade who is an officer or lecturer of the Academy); 24 graduate students successfully defended their military doctoral theses at the Academy level (including 12 comrades who are officers or lecturers of the Academy); 27 students successfully defended their Master's theses (including 4 comrades who are officers or lecturers of the Academy).
The Director of the National Defense Academy suggested that the students continue to study and grasp the theoretical and practical issues that are being raised, thoroughly grasp the Party's Resolutions, grasp the situation, promptly advise the Party and State at all levels on strategic issues related to military, national defense, and national protection; be flexible in handling situations, preventing the risk of conflict; maintain strategic initiative, and avoid being passive or surprised.
In addition, actively and proactively implement Resolutions, strategies and projects on military, national defense and national protection, focusing on Resolution of the 13th Central Committee on the National Defense Strategy in the new situation, effectively at all levels, proactively and successfully respond to traditional and non-traditional security challenges.
