National Defense Academy met to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20

The leaders of the National Defense Academy awarded the Certificates of Senior Researcher, Senior Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer in 2024, and the title of Excellent Lecturer at all levels for the 2024-2025 school year to lecturers and researchers.

On the afternoon of November 19, in Hanoi , the National Defense Academy held a meeting to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

Delivering a speech at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Viet Khoa, Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of the National Defense Academy, emphasized that Vietnam Teachers' Day is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to teachers, those who keep the fire of knowledge and personality in military schools; at the same time, affirm our determination to continue to innovate, improve the quality of education - training - research, and make practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

In military schools, teachers not only impart knowledge but also train morals, train talents, foster political qualities, form strategic thinking, and command-advisory capacity for future officers. Each class hour, each discussion session, each simulated campaign scenario, strategy, etc. is a step towards the maturity of students in military science and art, discipline, style, and responsibility.

The Director of the National Defense Academy said that in the 2024-2025 school year, closely following the direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy have comprehensively led and directed, achieving outstanding results in education and training, completing the training plan for the following classes: postgraduate; fostering national defense and security knowledge for subjects under the Central management; and campaign and strategic command and staff classes.

In addition, the Academy has updated its programs and curricula in the direction of standardization and modernization; integrating the content of joint military operations, services, information operations, cyberspace, civil defense, and protection of sea and island sovereignty. Innovating methods, including increasing problem-reflection-simulation; linking theory with practice through case studies and writing policy recommendations.

Scientific research and practical summarization work have been deployed synchronously, with quality and efficiency. Notably, many national and ministerial level topics have been deployed and implemented; many seminars, workshops and scientific articles have been organized in large numbers. At the same time, practical summarization in military regions, army corps and military branches has been strengthened; data banks and scenarios for teaching and forecasting have been formed.

The Director of the National Defense Academy affirmed that the career of education and training in the army is a special career of cultivating people, where knowledge, discipline, and personality crystallize into the qualities of the cadres. The National Defense Academy is proud of its tradition of Loyalty, Dedication, Solidarity, and Creativity and confidently enters a new phase with open thinking, foresight, and decisive action.
