Dan Phuong District Red Cross Society supports 886 teachers and students in difficult circumstances.

On May 22, the Dan Phuong District Red Cross Association held a conference to summarize the school Red Cross work in the 2024-2025 school year; awarded the "For the humanitarian cause" Medal; commended individuals with high achievements participating in the campaign "Million steps of charity - Continuing the golden history"; awarded bicycles and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies in response to the Humanitarian Month in 2025.

Chairwoman of the Dan Phuong District Red Cross Society Bui Thi Minh Nguyet said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the Dan Phuong District Red Cross Society organized propaganda and humanitarian knowledge training for nearly 40,000 officials, members, and youth in the school sector. At the same time, it mobilized support for 886 teachers and students in difficult circumstances, 234 disadvantaged students outside of school, and exempted tuition fees for 538 disadvantaged students with a total social work value of more than 2.7 billion VND.

In addition, after 157 days of implementation, responding to the campaign "Millions of Compassionate Steps - Continuing the Golden History" jointly implemented by the Vietnam Red Cross Society on the vRace application, the Hanoi Red Cross Society team (Hanoi RC) achieved the leading position nationwide. Contributing to the overall achievement of Hanoi city, the Dan Phuong District Red Cross Society achieved 5th place in the city with 391 members participating in the movement of nearly 40,000km.

At the conference, the Dan Phuong District Red Cross Society awarded 22 "For the humanitarian cause" Medals of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to individuals with many contributions to humanitarian work; 8 Certificates of Merit of the District Red Cross Society to 8 individuals with high achievements, more than 1,000km participating in the campaign "Million steps of charity - Continuing the golden history".

In particular, in response to the Humanitarian Month and International Children's Day (June 1) in 2025, the Red Cross Society of Dan Phuong district presented 20 bicycles to students in the district; awarded 21 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to elementary school students in the district with difficult circumstances who always strive to excel in their studies...
