Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society received more than 10 billion VND in support of the Cuban people.

BAC NINH - On the morning of October 18, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society held a ceremony to summarize the Program to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960-2025). At the program, the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee for its outstanding contributions to the program.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee, the Red Cross of Bac Ninh province launched a program to support the Cuban people from August 28 to October 16. The movement received positive response from all levels of the Red Cross, sectors, agencies, businesses and the majority of people in the province.

Collectives received Certificates of Merit from the Central Association.

By October 16, the total amount of money received reached 10,045 billion VND, exceeding the initial target by more than 3.5 billion VND; ranking 5th nationwide. The entire amount was transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross to support the Cuban people, contributing to sharing difficulties, overcoming challenging times, stabilizing life and developing the socio-economy.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society received a symbol of support from the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society.

Many agencies and units have had outstanding support results such as: Bac Ninh Provincial Police (500 million VND); Party Committee, government and People of Vo Cuong ward (273.5 million VND); Department of Construction and units under the department (174.6 million VND); Bac Duong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company (162.7 million VND); Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital No. 1 (160 million VND)...

The program is a practical activity to mobilize resources to support the Cuban people to overcome difficulties. Thereby, it demonstrates the spirit of "mutual love" of the Vietnamese people, as well as the pure, loyal and strong international solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
