Sow love, multiply happiness
Voluntary blood donation (VBD) is a meaningful activity, with profound humanistic values, demonstrating the spirit of sharing of each person with the community. In recent years, through many appropriate forms of propaganda and mobilization, the Provincial Red Cross Association has attracted a large number of cadres, civil servants, union members, association members, etc. and all classes of people to participate in VBD. In 2025, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Tay Ninh province coordinated with Cho Ray Blood Transfusion Center, Ho Chi Minh City to organize the reception of 19,693 units of 350ml blood, reaching 102% of the target assigned by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation. In recent years, many bright examples have emerged from the movement, actively participating in VBD.
Not only is he passionate about martial arts and always pays special attention to children and students in difficult circumstances who love martial arts, Mr. Le Minh Tuan (residing in Thuan My commune) is also known as an active role model in participating in local charity and humanitarian activities. "Familiar" with HMTN activities since 2015, up to now, Mr. Tuan has participated in HMTN 20 times.
Sharing the reason for participating in HMTN, Mr. Tuan said: “I participate in blood donation because I see this as a meaningful and practical thing to do, who knows, a small action of mine is contributing to saving someone's life. Before donating blood, I researched information and consulted with a doctor, when I knew I was in good health to participate, I registered. The first time I donated blood, I was a bit worried and nervous, but when I arrived at the blood receiving place, I was guided enthusiastically by the staff, so I became more confident.”
According to Mr. Tuan, donating blood not only helps patients in need of blood but this activity also brings health to the participants, because donating blood stimulates the body to create new blood and is good for the cardiovascular system. Therefore, when you are healthy enough, I hope everyone will participate in HMTN for the community.

Donating blood is a humanitarian act.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Phong (living in Chau Thanh commune) started donating blood in 2004. He is one of the members of the Rare Blood Group Club of the province. Mr. Phong shared that in the past, he participated in donating blood following the local movement, simply because he found it meaningful. After that blood donation, he learned that he had the rare blood group O (Rh-), and he was even more willing to share his blood.
For more than 20 years, Mr. Phong has donated blood more than 70 times, not including the sudden blood donations requested by Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. Along with that, Mr. Phong also regularly encourages relatives and neighbors to donate blood. Currently, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Rare Blood Club in the Southeast region.
“I still have 5 years left until I am no longer old enough to donate blood, so I try to donate every 3 months. I have 4 children, 3 of whom have rare blood types. Blood is important, rare blood is even more important, so in addition to myself, I also encourage my children to join me. Hopefully, our drops of blood will bring life to others in time,” said Mr. Phong.
Extending the journey of charity
In the area of about 800m2 , the Red Cross Clinic (Provincial Red Cross Association) is divided into many specialized departments and sections: pharmacy department; acupuncture, acupressure and physical therapy department; medicine supplement department; finished medicine processing team. In addition, the clinic also has a team in charge of cultivating, collecting and processing medicinal herbs. The room works all days of the week, except Sundays. From 7am, the room is in operation. Each person coming for examination is given a medical book to track the examination and treatment process.
Having just finished acupuncture, Ms. Vo Kim Hue (73 years old, living in Tan Ninh ward) said: “Recently, I heard that my body was aching so I went to the doctor and found out that I had sciatica. I was prescribed acupuncture. Before, I often went to the clinic to get checked, get medicine to take. Every time I went to get about 7 doses, after finishing them, I went back to check my pulse and get medicine to take. I only take traditional medicine, this time, I had to do acupuncture. Luckily, the female doctors here were gentle, I was less scared. This clinic is very good, anyone who is sick can come and get examined, they don't have to spend any money.”

Patients come to do physical therapy at the Red Cross Clinic
About 5 years ago, Mr. Truong Van Lai (65 years old, living in Ninh Thanh quarter, Binh Minh ward) had a motorbike accident. At that time, due to lack of immediate treatment, his spine was injured and he still had a dull pain. After that, an acquaintance introduced him to the CTĐ Acupuncture Clinic.
“I have been receiving treatment here for 4 years. Every week, I go to the acupuncture clinic 2-3 times. Here, everyone does charity work. Every time I come, I also contribute a little money to help the clinic pay the electricity bill. If anyone is in a difficult situation, it is okay if they do not contribute,” Mr. Lai said.
The clinic operates on a charitable basis, without charging any fees. Currently, the clinic has about 40 employees. The office department has a secretary, accountant, and treasurer. The professional department has a traditional medicine practitioner, pharmacist, acupuncturist, and physical therapy technician. Everyone works with a volunteer spirit. Traditional medicine practitioner Dang Hong Son - Head of the CTĐ clinic, shared: "Traditional medicine has a very high therapeutic effect. This is shown through the clinic's treatment effectiveness. Every day, the clinic receives more than 100 patients from many places. Currently, the main source of medicine is collected by us, and brought by people near and far. For any medicine that cannot be found, we use the money contributed by people who come to see a doctor or get treatment to buy medicine. As for the brothers and sisters working here, it is completely charity, without any money."

Physician Dang Hong Son takes the pulse and prescribes a prescription for the patient.
In addition to on-site medical examination and treatment, the CTĐ Clinic also regularly organizes mobile medical examinations for people in various places in the province. On each trip, the delegation cooperates with local authorities to give gifts to households in difficult circumstances. In 2025, the CTĐ Clinic examined and provided free medicine to more than 38,700 people with a total value of more than 1.5 billion VND; examined and gave gifts to more than 240 people in communes and wards in the province with a total cost of more than 132 million VND.
“To have the funding for operations, it all depends on the voluntary work and contributions of many people. If only a few people were at the clinic, it would not be possible. Although it is hard and tiring, everyone feels happy to contribute to meaningful work, treating and saving people,” Mr. Son shared.
In recent times, the health care activities of the Provincial Red Cross Association have been one of the outstanding activities that have left a good impression. In addition to the activities of the Red Cross Clinic, the Volunteer Medical Team of the Provincial Red Cross Association has also been very active, thereby organizing medical examinations and providing free medicine for more than 6,500 people and giving nearly 4,900 gifts to people in and outside the province. Since the beginning of the year, in health care activities, the Provincial Red Cross Association has organized medical examinations and provided medicine for more than 176,900 people with a total cost of over 18 billion VND.

Activities of giving gifts; supporting breeding animals; regularly caring for the elderly and orphans; building and repairing houses; charity ambulances; organizing funeral services and funeral assistance for families in difficult circumstances are carried out regularly. The Provincial Association also carries out the Campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"; the Program "Nutrition for poor and disabled children";... Since the beginning of the year, the humanitarian - social activities and disaster prevention and response of the Provincial Red Cross Association have helped more than 96,300 people with a total value of more than 51 billion VND.
In general, the activities of the Association are increasingly innovative, creative, close to the grassroots, and linked to the practical needs of the disadvantaged and the less fortunate in life. From the impressive figures on the results of the Association's activities, it can be affirmed that in recent times, the Provincial Red Cross Association has always promoted its core role in carrying out charitable and humanitarian activities, deserving to be a reliable "bridge", a "red address" connecting compassionate hearts in the community./.
