On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), on November 26, the Central Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , President of the Vietnam Women's Union, visited and congratulated the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam.
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen sent best wishes to the Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day.
Speaking with Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen congratulated the achievements the Lao people have made over the past 50 years under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
Recalling the support, attachment and loyalty that the Lao Party, State and people have given to Vietnam in the cause of national liberation as well as in building and developing the country, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her respect and pride in the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples; at the same time, she hoped that today's generation would continue to promote the precious tradition that was cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and previous generations of leaders.
Regarding the activities of the Women's Unions of the two countries, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that in addition to annual coordination activities, the Vietnam Women's Union is currently organizing a training course on women's work for 15 officials of the Lao Women's Union from October 15 to December 15, 2025 according to the agreement on the Cooperation Plan between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Cooperation Agreement between the two Women's Unions of Vietnam and Laos for the period 2022 - 2027.
In the coming time, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen hopes that through the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam in general and the support of Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh personally, the Women's Unions of Vietnam and Laos will continue to have more in-depth cooperation activities, making positive contributions to the development of women. Thereby, the Party, State and people of the two countries will preserve and promote the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh thanked the Vietnam Women's Union for its special attention and affection for the Lao Party, State and people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the coordination and support of the Vietnam Women's Union for the Lao Women's Union in recent times. The companionship of the two organizations in particular and the people of the two countries in general has contributed to enhancing understanding, consolidating solidarity and mutual support.
Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh affirmed that the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Women's Union and relevant agencies to effectively implement cooperation programs agreed upon by the leaders of the two countries, contributing to further deepening the friendly relations between the two countries./.
