- On the afternoon of July 3, 2024, Lang Son City Party Committee held the 17th (expanded) conference. This conference mainly focused on discussing the draft results of the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Comrade Doan Thi Loan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Lang Son City Party Committee chaired the conference.
The report of Lang Son City Party Committee stated that in the first 6 months of 2024, the City Party Committee Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee have united, proactively led and directed the implementation of key tasks of 2024. Accordingly, all 20 tasks of 2024 have been basically completed on schedule according to the set plan.
In which, some tasks on development The socio-economic situation has achieved positive results. Specifically, the total budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2024 reached over 248 billion VND, equal to 61.8% of the provincial estimate, an increase of 18.5% over the same period in 2023. Trade, service and tourism activities took place vigorously, with the total number of tourists reaching nearly 2.2 million, an increase of 21.7% over the same period in 2023... Party building, political system building, and national solidarity bloc were well implemented; Social security policies are taken care of by Party committees and authorities at all levels; cultural and social fields are well implemented, the material and spiritual life of people in the city continues to improve; social order and safety are ensured;...
In addition to the achieved results, in the first 6 months of 2024, there are still some areas that have not achieved the set targets. In particular, the disbursement rate of public investment capital has not ensured the progress and plan set out; site clearance for some key projects of the province still faces difficulties; violations of urban order still occur;...
At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved in the first 6 months of 20224. At the same time, they focused on clarifying the difficulties and shortcomings and discussed solutions to implement key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.
In order to complete and exceed the targets set at the beginning of 2024, at this conference, the Executive Committee of the Lang Son City Party Committee proposed a number of specific key tasks to be implemented in the last 6 months of 2024.
Accordingly, Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies and units in the city will continue to focus on drastically implementing the key tasks in 2024 approved by the Provincial Party Standing Committee in Decision No. 1556/QD/TU dated January 9, 2024. In particular, continue to strengthen Party building work; strengthen propaganda, dissemination, study and implementation of resolutions, directives, programs and plans on Party building work in the area; continue to perform well the work of organizing cadres; strengthen leadership, direction and comprehensive implementation of inspection and supervision tasks according to the Party Charter.
Along with that, continue to promote the development of trade - services, tourism; effectively implement solutions to restructure the agricultural sector associated with new rural construction; continue to effectively implement solutions to collect state budget in the area; strengthen urban order management; perform well land management; focus on accelerating the progress of site clearance for projects; accelerate the progress of disbursement of investment capital; promote propaganda of important holidays and events in the province and city; perform well national defense and security tasks in the new situation; ...
