In 2023, closely following Directive 43-CT/TW dated April 8, 2020 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation" and Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU dated November 28, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on the directions, tasks and themes of work in 2023, the activities of the Journalists Association at all levels and press agencies, and the team of journalists in the province continue to be innovated in content and methods according to the motto of being proactive, practical and effective. Emulation movements with many practical contents have created a favorable environment and opportunities for journalists to work, build a strong team, and carry out the key tasks in 2023, making a positive contribution to the development of Quang Ninh province. The team of journalists in the area is well-trained, continuing to promote the spirit of solidarity to contribute to building a professional, humane, and modern press... The Association's professional activities and other movements continue to be actively implemented and achieve many good results.

Collectives with outstanding achievements in the special emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province were commended and rewarded.

In 2024, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association determined the theme of the year as "Emulation in building press agencies and cultural journalists". In particular, the general goal is to continue promoting emulation movements, focusing on emulation to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the emulation movement to build press agencies and cultural journalists; gather, unite, and motivate journalists to promote their creativity, contributing to the good implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies; represent the ownership, aspirations, and legitimate interests of journalists in the area, contributing to building a professional, humane, and modern Vietnamese revolutionary press... The Provincial Journalists Association also set out specific targets and solutions to implement the directions and tasks in 2024.

Groups of authors whose works won the National Press Award, the National Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, and the Dien Hong Award in 2022 and 2023 were honored at the conference.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association discussed and agreed to propose extending the term of 2019-2024 to 2025 to match the term of the Vietnam Journalists Association Congress; agreed on the proposed contents of the Plan to Celebrate 100 Years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, focusing on the compilation and publication of the book "History of Quang Ninh Press"; announced the Decision to establish the Press Photo Club and appointed the interim Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Press Photo Club.

On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association summarized the emulation movement and commended and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the special emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province; commended individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Provincial Journalists Association in 2023; and gave extraordinary rewards to groups of authors whose works won the National Press Award, the National Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, and the Dien Hong Award in 2022 and 2023.
